Even after contacting the manager and requesting for a new customer rep (she or he I want to get it politically correct) still contacting a display of circustry... Even after I publicly y directly apologize to the individual (He/she) still brushed me off in a non accepting discontent apology as I was leaving the facility... I've been a member for over 50 years and a US military veteran and I explained that to management that they should show more respect and dignity not only to me but all members, I will never ever return back to this location, I hope there's a lot of change from the top down --we expect as members superior treatment and excellence in customer service, y we will not tolerate anything less than excellence!!! read more

Almost better to go to the DMV. They at least are constantly helping people. I signed in and was told 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later they had only help 1 person who was done in 5 minutes. The rest of the time there was 3 employees just aimlessly staring at their phones, computer screens and joking around with each other. Pretty much anything but actually helping the customers that fund the company that pays them. Never seen such disregard for customers time. I am still waiting as of posting this. Hopefully it's not another 30 minutes. They just finally called up one more person. But now there is 4 worked standing around doing nothing. read more

I've brought my daughter for driving school and AAA closes at 1. Her appt is 1 15pm. I'm outside and have a very bad stomache ache and need to use the bathroom. I have never been treated so badly by a security guard who is guarding the door and won't even hear me out. AAA please do better. This was the Downey location and I won't be taking my daughter here for driving lessons. Your closed and I am waiting for the lesson to be over. I am paying good money and don't expect to be treated like this. All the other AAA locations have been wonderful except this one. Don't enroll your kids here. The security are very rude. I never really make the time to submit reviews, but I felt inclined to do so as the service we received from Jackie, and her team, at this office was wonderful! My husband and I went in to have the passport photo taken for our 2 month old son. The service we received from Jackie was exceptional. She was very understanding and patient and helped us get the perfect picture... even though it was not an easy task to have a 2 month old position for an acceptable passport picture. It was also great to learn from Jackie of the other services AAA offers and she even gave our 2 year old toddler spider man stickers! I requested information on a trip to Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende . Spoke with Jasmin , travel agent and she said she would get back in a couple days. A month later after 3 voicemails she had not returned my calls. Finally got a hold of her and she told me she did not have anything because AAA did not have any affiliation with hotels and such! My review is solely based on paying my DMV renewal and getting my current tags for my plate. Having experiencing making payment the prior year at a different office, I remembered to bring my checkbook. Using your card would result in an extra fee. My visit to the Downey office took place on a Saturday, an hour before they closed. Walked straight up to the DMV services desk and she checked my paperwork. She directed me to another line where they took payment. I waited no longer than 15 minutes altogether. Saturdays morning are happening in the area. I later noticed this AAA has their own parking lot. I overlooked it because there's a Farmers Market right outside their lot. I parked in the structure across the way. My mother-in-law has had three credit cards compromised after making payments at this location. It could be a total coincidence but I don't think so. All the fraudulent purchases made after the fact were made in Downey. That's why we believe the card is getting skimmed at this location. Nothing against this location in Downey I just didn't know where to put this review. I had a flat tire, I ordered an uber to go to work in the morning. Called AAA at 8:30 AM and scheduled a pick up appointment at 4pm. I understand that there is an hour window for assistance, but the truck never showed up. I never received any type of update or call . I was the one that had to call customer service three times . I was so upset because I needed my tire fixed . Unfortunately, I had to drive it with the flat tire and drive very slowly to the nearest tire station I should not have to experience this, especially since I've been a member since 1998. I've been to this location several times: pre-covid, during covid, and the covid era where the mask mandate was lifted. My most recent visit was for a notary. I waited in a lengthy check-in line only to be told it would be another 45 minutes of waiting in a packed waiting room. I mentioned to the lady that I had attempted to call ahead several times and it is impossible to reach a person. She told me she was the branch manager and would make an appointment for me to return another day. I accepted the appointment since I don't not want to be packed in like sardines with a 2 month baby. I returned a few days later at my scheduled appointment time. I checked in and was told it would be 15-20 minutes. I explained that I scheduled an appointment. The person checking me in went to check on something, when she returned, she told me I'd be seen by the next available notary and was asked to take a seat. I told myself I would leave after exactly 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes in a packed waiting room with a baby. I was called after waiting 22 minutes and I realized I had forgotten my ID. That's my fault but when the lady said I could come back later and she'd make me an appointment I rolled my eyes so hard. I told her I had an appointment today and still had to wait over 20 minutes with a baby. She then told me she was not informed of my "appointment." So I don't know what kind of crappy appointment system they have here but it doesn't work. You can have this appointment and check in with this appointment and the person you're supposed to see still won't know you have an appointment. I have given up on this location. I'll just hire a mobile notary to come to my house. All of this hassle and driving and waiting and packing up a baby isn't worth the potential $6 fee. I was there yesterday to get an insurance quote for three vehicles. I was not impressed with the customer service that Erika Tehrani provided me. I received the quote from her and she didn't explain to me anything about the quote I was receiving, she just said everything is on that piece of paper. She didn't even try to sell me the Insurance at all or advise me of any other options I might have.I believe that a person who makes their living selling stuff should be friendly and put a smile on their faces at the time of introducing themselves or when interacting with customers. I love AAA national services. That keeps me insured with AAA even if I have had many bad experiences with the downey office. Today was the worst. I needed to drop my car from my policy as I sold it today. I called the downey office an hour and three minutes before they close. After I realized that I was holding and they were closed I was hoping to stay on hold until they reopened at 9 am so that they could see my 16 hour hold time tomorrow morning. (Another incoming call kicked me off at about the 5 hour mark.) I'm shocked that they don't clear their (phone) lines before they leave the office. Wow, is it wrong that I get overly excited when I receive top notch service? The receptionist who greeted and assisted me was so nice! Because of COVID they have everyone out in lines to the right and the left. If your looking at the place to the right you have a overhead that provides shade. To the left there is nothing over your head. The day I was there it was a very HOT day. No people were on the right - so I asked the young lady in charge because of the heat can we go to the other line. She replied No it's for something else. With our MASK and many elderly waiting they need to accommodate with shade! By the time I got in - by back and head where burning!!! No joke. I don't agree with them leaving there customers in the HOT SUN! What's it going to take but a pop up!!! There are also people with underling diseases such as cancer who cannot be in the sun. Worst customer service ever! The worker (female) that constantly kept saying "Happy Cinco De Mayo"was a total BITCH! Rude to the customers and if anyone would ask her anything she will give attitude. We are not paying for a membership to get attitude from an employee. We paid for our services so nothing is free there. Another employee also gave me attitude but I had enough, and gave it back. Turns out AAA claims they sent me a document requesting confirmation if my sister had access to my car or drives my car. I never received this document, therefore AAA took it upon themselves to cancel my auto insurance, and I was driving for two weeks with no coverage. I still don't understand what their road side service has to do with their auto insurance policy. I called and spoke with an agent hoping to get this resolved, but apparently their underwriter was not in and I was told I would have to wait a few days to get a call back. I had no choice but to go with Mercury, and glad I did. I got more coverage at a better rate! read more
