Had a 10 year relationship with an agent/broker that was phenomenal and got me through a few claims…read more& changing of policies when needed, I always felt like he was transparent and eager to find me the best available rates; however, when he retired, the new agent proved to be unhelpful as he was slow to follow up with my outreaches and when we did speak he was not very warm/friendly and seemed to take no initiative to get to know me or express support for my situation/need which was a stark contrast to my prior experience. I did finally hear back from another person at the company to transition out as I found someone elsewhere who was able to get me better rates. Who you are working with really shapes your experience at this company.

Got home and called my insurance company. Then I Google "Trexis insurance reviews" and my stomach sank. Gotta admit, its very sketchy for an insurance company to have no social media presence in this day and age. I braced myself for a hassle, and accepted that I might have to file through my own insurance. But honestly, things with Trexis went fairly smooth. They sent me a link to a website through which to send photos of the damage. Within a week, the vehicle was declared a total loss, and the claim was forwarded to their total loss department. Made me a very fair offer. Minus one star because things were kinda drug out at this point, and I had to act as a go-between between Trexis and my loan company more than once to get things moving. Not sure on which end the miscommunication was happening, but somebody definitely dropped the ball more than once. But in the end, all was resolved. Finance company received the payoff on May 25th, and I received a check for the balance two days later. Not the smoothest of procedures, but far, far better than I'd feared. Calling it a win. Edit - I feel I should point out that I have a family member with a spare vehicle that I was able to borrow, so I didn't bother with trying to get a rental. That may have played into my positive experience. Not changing my star rating, because thats based upon my own experience, but in the name of full disclosure, I thought I should clarify this point.
