Naturally, I was concerned and reached out to him. He came out right away, took the time to thoroughly inspect everything, and explained in detail why he believed the patio cover itself was not the issue. He checked the slope, sealed areas to rule out seepage, and made sure nothing was being overlooked. A couple of months later, after speaking with several stucco contractors, I was told repeatedly that the patio cover had to be the problem. Feeling confused and overwhelmed, I reached back out to Dan and shared what others were saying. Even though he still believed the issue was coming from somewhere else--possibly the stucco or second-story windows--he didn't hesitate to come back out. This is where Dan truly went above and beyond. Despite not believing he was at fault, he took extra steps to help eliminate any doubt. He installed additional downspouts and full-length counter flashing, which required removing stucco, just to ensure that water could not possibly be getting in from the patio cover. This was not a small job. That level of integrity and customer care is incredibly rare. During the process, once everything was opened up, he was able to clearly show me that the real issue was faulty second-story windows--not the patio cover. He had been right all along. But what stood out the most was his attitude throughout the entire experience. Not once did he make me feel bad for questioning it or listening to other contractors. He remained patient, professional, and genuinely kind the entire time, even when it would have been easy to say "I told you so." At that point, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed between conflicting opinions and high quotes. Dan didn't stop at proving the issue--he continued to help. He guided me in the right direction, recommended the proper solution (including new construction windows instead of retrofit and elastomeric paint for the stucco), and connected me with trusted contacts to completely resolve my issue. Dan is the kind of person you hope to find but rarely do. Honest, knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to helping his customers--even when he doesn't have to. He went far out of his way for me and my family. I'm incredibly grateful for his time, effort, and integrity. If you're considering working with him, don't hesitate. Not only does he do exceptional quality patio covers but he stands by his work, takes pride in what he does, and treats people the right way. They miscalculated the distance from the fence for a patio cover by 5 feet. Our backyard is very…read morenarrow and we were going to get a patio cover. They told us that it had to be 5 feet from the fence,which still made the patio cover very narrow and unacceptable. However, they then informed us that there was going to be an overhang and that would make the cover come out a little bit more by two feet. So we went ahead with it. The county came back and said that it needs to be 10 feet away from the fence which would therefore now make it just a little tiny thin strip of patio cover and that was not acceptable. CW designs kept $175 from us saying that they already came out and measured so that was the money they were going to keep. In addition, the county also kept roughly $175 as well. Had CW design known their business with patio cover rules and correctly told us the information we would've never gone forward with patio cover. I think that if you have a professional business that comes out and measures, gives you information on where the patio cover will extend to, they should be correct. They are in the business of patio covers, they should correctly give information so that a sound decision can be made. They should know what the county requires and tell the patron correct information and certainly not charge a fee for their mistakes. I have seen some patio covers that they have built and they do do a very nice job, but in my opinion, the fact that they kept our money for their mistake is appalling to me.

Alex was the build person for my project who was equally good as well. His craftmenship is great. Along with his team, they were able to complete the build pretty much in 1 day. They did a great job in cleaning the snow/foam after build. We passed inspection without any issues and the inspector even complimented the quality of the build. In short, they came, they build, they clean and they left. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the whole process. The team I worked with did a great job.
