I've been to this location several times to take care of DMV stuff but the last few times, I've gotten the same agent, Myrna, and I was really hoping to avoid her. Every interaction with her makes me uncomfortable. Not even a hello or good morning when you are called up. She just stares at you and I feel like I'm being scolded like a child. I asked her a question and I guess she didn't hear me and her response was, "What?" I thought that was really rude. When it was time to pay, I handed her my debit card and instead of politely saying sorry they don't accept debit she handed the card back and said "Only cash or credit. No debit." Every time the transaction ends she hands me the paperwork and didn't even say thank you or have a good day. Just very robotic. I hope I don't get her again next time. The other agents I've encountered are nothing like her. read more

Let me just tell you how efficient and outstanding the customer service this location has. I have been to other locations and this one by far has always treated me with exceptional service. They are FAST for one, greet you with a friendly, inviting smile and have the best energy, from the reception to all of the staff. I had DMV services done and I really just felt like family. During the holiday's everyone knows how stressful it can be. PRESTON made sure he took care of me with love and grace. Had it been my second visit. I had forgotten important documents my first time coming and had to come back and he remembered me. I thought that was very thoughtful. The whole staff worked diligently as a team, answered each others questions with laughter and smiles and they all just worked really well together. I loved seeing that. Well done AAA! I highly recommend this location, other locations such as Mission Valley I have waited at least an hour to be seen and the customer service wasn't ever anything as close to this. They are awful. The Call Center is not helpful and neither is AAA Chula Vista. They need to be re-trained on what type of information to give to a customer that inquires about a title transfer so as not to have to return again. Also, the place is starting to remind me of the DMV in National City which is not a compliment. read more

Senior Travel Advisor, Riz Borja was assigned to our trip. We started working with her in June for a trip in September/October. She first blamed us for trying to plan a trip without proper lead-time. She told us all Greek cruises were sold out, but her colleague overheard our plight and suggested Costsaver which had openings during our calendar window. While I appreciated this "save," it was never communicated that Costsaver was across-the-board a basic cruise category that didn't include any extras, interior cabins only, etc. A disclosure would have been appreciative. I requested an airport hotel in Athens and Riz told me it was sold out and the only other option she would book was twice as much. Because I didn't believe her, I went online and booked the airport hotel stay myself. Up until our departure, I asked Riz to answer very specific questions and she would ignore specific questions. Additionally, she went on vacation without sharing that information with us, leaving us dumbfounded. She also never apologized to took responsibility for her mistakes. I repeatedly asked her, What happens when we get to Athens and we run into trouble? She ignored questions like this. She did not care. I would never use AAA for travel services again as my experience was so poor and there was zero accountability. read more

UPDATE: I went to the DMV and they accepted both forms that the guy with the English accent at AAA said they would not accept. The DMV also said they have always regularly accepted auto signatures from doctors. They even chuckled when I told them that AAA said they required a "wet" signature from the doctor. Also, the guy with the English accent at AAA that said I had an outdated form gave me 2 pages that were the same page (2 of 3) and did not even give me a full "new" application. DMV informed me that the "old" form is identical and will work just fine and they accepted my application. I will be visiting AAA to get the name of the arrogant, uninformed guy with an English accent and discuss the matter with the manager. read more

I was comparing prices with my current car insurance (Wawanesa) to AAA. I found that AAA charges about $65 more than what I am paying for, when compared to my same exact policy. I've been receiving numerous telephone calls and the sales rep keeps on cutting me off, when I try to explain that they are just too much. As I tried to explain how I came to this findings, he kept cutting me off again. I told him to let me talk and stop interrupting me, then he hung up the phone. A few seconds later AAA calls back again. Stop with your calls, I'm not interested, cause you're car insurance policy is too much. Your calls are harassing and your representatives are very rude on the phone. This is really not a professional company. Please train your employees on customer service. I didn't even want to give you 1 star, it should be 0 stars. read more

I have been to this location 2x now. The first time I was getting a temp handicap placard since I was having knee surgery and wouldn't be able to walk well for a while. I checked in and an older lady with horrible makeup on asked me what I was there for and I told her, to which she proceeded to give me her opinion on how I was too young to need a handicap placard. I then told her I was having knee surgery and she said oh you'll be fine.. First off, its non of her business as to why I need a placard and second she needs to keep her opinion to herself! The 2nd time I came for a notary and lady up front said there were 5 people ahead of me, then 30 min went by and still 5 people ahead of me! Really!? how slow can they be? Finally left and went two shops down to ups store and had it done in minutes. This locations is very slow and take longer than most AAA locations. I will not go back to this location. The staff here leaves alot to be desired. read more

Kim and Liliana take the time to make sure we plan without any stress, and that ALL things are taken care of. I don't have AAA myself, but if you travel with someone who does have it (*ahem*) you'd save yourself the headache of planning & paying out of your umm... behind. The only reason I would go to this office is to pay my DMV registration. The lines here are a whole lot shorter than going to the DMV itself. Customer service is extremely friendly. Peak hours appear to be usually after regular work hours, lunch time and weekends. So why only 3-stars? If you came here for your DMV payment, they only take cash or check. You'd have to take yourself to an ATM (they've mentioned the Mission Federal Credit Union at the other end of the lot) and pull out cash, if you don't have your checkbook. Checkbook? What's that? You can't use your ATM here and they definitely don't take credit cards. BOO! As I waited for my turn to see how much I actually owed the DMV, I was able to log directly onto the DMV website and pay with a credit card. All that I wasted was a 10 minute drive and back to this location. Should have thought of it sooner. But, I was able to grab some coffee from Starbucks, which is located in the same shopping center. read more

I can't say enough about the services and the customer service at this place! The yearly fee is so worth all the benefits! Apart from the obvious benefits of getting someone out to help you asap on your car problems, the membership allows access to DMV services that typically take half a day to complete standing in line! No appointment is needed and most transactions take no more than 30-45 minutes! They also have insurance and travel planning services and resources. What an awesome experience!! We booked a cruise with this office a few years ago and had a great experience. This time, we booked a trip to Hawaii. Lucas at AAA was amazing. Great advice on where to stay, where to eat, what to do, how to save money . . . while in Maui, HI. We were on the fence between a Hawaiian and a Mexican vacation . . . Lucas helped us weigh the pros and cons of each and we decided on Hawaii with our two young daughters. Our trip is scheduled for two months from now and we can't wait. I felt like Lucas really wanted us to have our best trip at the best price. It was clear he wanted our business, but not if it meant not having the best trip or spending more than we needed to spend. Lucas helped us get AAA to match the price of the same vacation I found online at a lower price. He worked really hard to get us what we wanted at a lower price in a pressure-free environment.
