Still waiting for someone to show up!! Coming up on 4 hours!! I called AAA and they gave me a towing companies name and phone number. I waited 30 minutes before calling them and....they do not even have a record of AAA calling them!! Such ineptitude would get you fired at a real company! This was the most horrible experience ever with AAA! I locked the keys in the car at 8:30 p.m. Totally my fault, but I sat in a dark parking lot in an unfamiliar town for over 3hrs waiting for someone to come and unlock the door. I spoke with at least 4 different AAA agents/supervisors, and all I got was 4 or 5 robo calls telling me to be patient, help was on the way. After 2 strangers approached me, I decided to break the window and get into the car on my own. My safety was more important than the car window. The whole purpose of the roadside assistance plan is to get help when you need it. AAA absolutely failed me! Seriously questioning why I pay $129 a year to be ignored and abandoned. read more

Disappointed . Bought a car private party, it conked out before I could get it to the shop to be inspected, and therefore registered. So - stranded. Set up a tow with AAA, the contractor took nearly an hour and a half to get to me, saw the car wasn't registered, told me I'd have to pay commercial rate or call around for someone less expensive. In a pinch, of course I just paid the commercial rate, $190, to have my just-bought car towed. Called AAA Carolinas, followed the prompts, was on hold over 10 minutes due to "high call volume," had to re-confirm my information, explained the situation, had to re-explain to the next representative, and then had to all but beg to have the pleasure of speaking with his supervisor, whom spoke over me most of the call (but was pleasant) and empathetic to my situation. Where my disappointment sets in: - very long wait for service because the nearest contractor wasn't called - service coverage was denied - was on phone with AAA 77 minutes - tow truck operator didn't leave keys, or even a note to say whether or not he left them in the shop's drop box - I'm out $190, plus my membership (less a nominal fee that was refunded to me for my inconvenience...which amounts to about $10/hour for the 3 hours and counting that I've wasted on their account). So here I sit, waiting on a call from Little John's Towing & Recovery LLC to tell me where my keys are. More of the day flushed away. Over 4 hours later, and still not resolved :(. Where the ball was not dropped: - customer support, although taking a long while to get it, was pleasant, caring, and offered what they said they could - the gentleman who towed the car was pleasant, professional, and took the utmost care of my car Overall? Disappointed, but hoping that this isn't a recurring theme - also hoping not to have to use this service again (that is what everyone wants: not to need emergency roadside assistance) Thank you for reading. read more

If you have AAA, ask them who the contractor is that they're sending. If you live in the Apex/Cary, NC area DO NOT LET ON TIME TOWING touch your car!!!!!!!! I called AAA to request my battery be jumped. They sent this scurvy dude who went to the wrong address and then closed the case because I wasn't there! I had to request service with AAA again, and he came to the wrong address again, but he called me and said he was here. This guy was very raggedy and defensive from On Time Towing. He jumped my car and said I might need a new battery but couldn't say for sure since he was in a car. Since I was soon to be traveling, I decided to purchase a battery through him (bad mistake!) and the next morning all of my electronics on my dash and radio weren't working. Long story short, I'm out about $600 and neither AAA nor this horrible contractor ON TIME TOWING are willing to take responsibility for the damage with my car! read more

So disappointed. I have been a member on and off since 2017. I purchased a Plus membership because my daughter was going to college out of state. She was involved in an accident and needed to be towed. She called in a request and AAA sent incorrect information to the Alabama club so they charged her $180 for a tow that should have been free with the Plus membership. When I called to try and get assistance, I was told that there wasn't anything they could do and the towing company also refused to refund the money. I was told to fill out a reimbursement form which customer service refused to email to me and was extremely difficult to find on their website (and would take 5-7 days for her to be reimbursed). Why pay for a service when all you get is a runaround when you try to use it. read more

Absolutely horrible. The drivers must be eating breakfast or lunch and not coming out to the service calls. I broke down and was given an ETA. Half hour after the ETA I called. They said he was 8 minutes away one exit from me. Well half hour later still no towing truck. I called again. Same story. He was still at the same exit and 8 minutes away. An hour later same deal. They finally got to me 3 hours after the initial call. The drivers are doing something else and not tending to the calls of service. read more

Unbelievable! My car broke down, will not start. I called customer service to request a battery jump and if that did not work, a tow. I was amazed to find out that I needed to ask for one or the other. If I asked for the battery charge, and it did not work, I would then need to call back to have another service person come to tow my car. This has never occurred in the past. They also told me that I would be charged for two services. This is a very transparent attempt to charge for two trips. Shame on AAA for resorting to such tactics. Will be looking for other options moving forward, I have three accounts, will be zero as soon as possible. read more

I have had this service for years and pay with automatic payment. We have only used this service for towing, a battery charge and a tire change that resulted in a tow. We have three vehicles. We needed a service to help us when we are stranded My significant other was dropped from the plan unexpectedly. When I called they could not give me an explanation as to why. They said that they audit random accounts and determined that his use,cost them money. I read the membership guide and still do not know what we did wrong.They couldn't even tell me what exactly he did wrong! They said it was as not how many times he called, or the types or calls we requested. We have since replaced the old truck with a newer model and they will not put him back on the account. I'm pretty disappointed in this reliable and well known service for turning their back and dropping him for using a service the way it was intended. read more
