My backflow preventer was leaking, and a plumber told me it was going to be $1800 to replace the entire unit. I decided to call an expert and reached out to AAA. John answered immediately and offered to come out and repair it, but mentioned that based on my description of the problem I could probably just do it myself so he wouldn't have to charge me. He spent time on the phone with me walking through the fix, and 10 minutes later my problem was solved using a wrench and a screwdriver--without even needing any new parts! So many plumbers, electricians, and other service providers don't have these kinds of booking tools, and it makes a big difference. Needing to call and try to get someone on the phone can be a hassle; booking this appointment online was the easiest thing I did all day.
