They finally looked at it the next day but needed another day to make the repairs. When I got the car back it smelled very strongly of cigarettes (it took 3 days to go away) and there was a loud rattling coming from my undercarriage. I brought the car back and looked at it on the lift with the mechanics. In the process of replacing the fuel pump they had to remove my heat shield to drop the fuel tank. Rather than drilling out the rivets securing it to the car body, they ripped it off leaving large holes in the shield. They blamed the damage on rust (the heat shield does not rust, the rivets do) and secured it with a zip tie on one end and a screw clamp to the exhaust pipe on the other end. It doesn't rattle anymore, but I will have to fix it myself this spring. Additionally, my car will no longer fill completely. The gas pump shuts off early due to a problem in the EVAP system. At first I thought this was a problem with the gas station, but now I am certain it is my vehicle. I have yet to fully diagnose the problem, but the issue is likely due to a line off the tank going back to the EVAP canister being pinched when the gas tank was replaced. I will not take my car back here. On the up side, they didn't overcharge me for the fuel pump...

**Yelp Review for Atlantic Auto**…read more I recently took my car to Atlantic Automotive in Perryville MD for a brake pad service, and I can't praise them enough for their honesty and integrity. After dropping off my car, I received a call about an hour later informing me that my brake pads were actually only halfway through their life cycle and did not need to be changed at this time. It's refreshing to find a place that prioritizes honesty over making a quick buck. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation and suggested unnecessary work, but instead, they chose to be transparent with me. I really appreciate their straightforwardness and commitment to customer service. If you're looking for a trustworthy auto service, I highly recommend Atlantic Automotive!!!!

So I took his advice and drove down to Maryland to let Atlantic Automotive take a look. I am so glad I did because not only was my rotors warped, a calibration pin was stuck and a ball joint went bad. Atlantic Automotive was able to get my car repaired on the same day at a reasonable price. My car hasn't been this quiet in months. Definitely recommend.

After this most recent visit, that long relationship is over. The trust she had in this location has been completely broken. An A/C diagnostic was scheduled three weeks in advance. When she arrived, she was casually told the A/C technician "would not be coming in." No courtesy call, no attempt to reschedule, no acknowledgment that the entire purpose of the appointment was to fix an A/C system that was failing. After rescheduling, they kept the car for five hours and then claimed the repair was complete. John, the current store manager, told her that a full A/C kit was needed and had been installed -- and charged us for the entire kit. A second Firestone location later confirmed the truth: the kit had only been partially replaced, and the A/C still blew warm air. The shop kept the old condenser (see photos) in our vehicle even though the kit provided a new one. That is not completed work. It is negligence. The pattern is impossible to ignore: constant upselling, disorganization, poor communication, and now outright dishonesty -- led directly by the store manager. After years of loyalty, this is how they chose to treat a returning customer. We have filed a formal complaint and are requesting a refund. We are also sharing this experience so others in the Bel Air area don't go through the same thing. One star is generous. Zero would be more accurate.
