Towing and repair. Alas, the final resting place of my Acura. These guys were so incredibly nice to deal with. They were called to take the various pieces of my car away after an accident 1/30. They brought it to their yard and when I called them the guy actually sounded upset to tell me not to rush over as the car was done for. I wanted to get my personal stuff out and he told me to pop right over. The car was indeed toast (I didn't get to see it after the accident as I was carted off to the Hospital). After cleaning out the stuff from the cabin, we managed to get the trunk open and he helped me remove me stuff from the wreck. I went back a few days later to get the plates and show my friend the mess - again, they were extremely nice and helpful. If you need a tow - these are the guys to call for sure. read more

I cannot believe this company is still allowed to operate. My car was placed there by the police for almost a year-- I did not voluntarily choose this tow yard or agree to store my car there. I have a written letter from the police confirming that because the vehicle was placed there by the police, the storage fee should only have been $2.50 per day. Despite that, this company insisted charge me $30 per day. That is not just unreasonable -- it feels blatantly predatory. The owner, Rich, appears to take advantage of people who are already trapped in stressful situations and then demand outrageous amounts of money. This whole experience has been infuriating, abusive, and financially devastating. People should be very careful dealing with this company. read more

They over charged my neighbor a 85 years old nice lady , that had an accident only 3 miles away , tow her and after 5 days with all expenses charged $2000 for a 2010 Toyota Corolla, Be ware of bad place read more

They charged my 20 year old son $470 to tow his car 3 blocks after an accident. Online a tow after an accident is usual $100-$225. The company was on a list the Nassau County Police provided him. Why are they on that list. Definitely need to reach out to a congressman to find out that answer read more

This is by far the worst tow company I have ever had to work with. I work in the insurance industry and often need to get units released from tow yards for clients. Rich, the "owner", makes it unnecessarily difficult to release the unit just so they can hold on to the unit and charge you to store it. I highly recommend utilizing ANY other tow service provider in the area and avoid this location at all costs. The only surprise about their 1.5 rating is that it isn't lower. read more

Complete and total SCAM. My car broke down Friday night while driving westbound on the LIE 1/2 mile from exit 42. I had never broken down before and to top it off it was dark out and I had to pull over on the HOV lane - it was nerve wrecking to say the least. When the police arrived they said my insurance company was not allowed to tow my car on the highway and that they had to call for service. They recommended AAAA-1 and I didn't question it as I was beyond relieved I was going to get out of there in one piece. I was told to call the next day and I did. A friend who's a mechanic was ready with a tow truck to pick up my car first thing in the morning and they said that the yard was closed and it would have to be Monday. Monday morning I call again and they say it is $722.36 for a less than 5-mile tow. I couldn't get any other words out of my mouth but "ok". I head there and question them about it. The guy behind the desk is the same one on the phone and he is beyond rude. He wouldn't even print an invoice for me to look at an itemized bill and proceeds to quickly spit out the charges. Most of the charges on the bill are bull: - "Winching" fee of $75 when my car was ON the highway, NOT off-road or beyond the limits of the roadway. Hence why I was so panicked and had to call the police. - They wouldn't let my friend tow the car out of the lot (which was in the first row of cars behind the fence) or even go in to look at it because apparently there are cars with "bullet holes, drugs, and homicides in there". - "Pull Out" fee of $150 from the first row behind the fence. They no joke moved my car about 50ft total from where it was parked to the side of the road. - $140 "Storage" fee for less than three days and after I called the next day (Saturday) with resources to pick up my car. - $125 "Yard" fee that when I asked the guy what that was he said it was an "Admin" fee for "paperwork". We asked a second guy that worked there and he shrugged it off saying "that's life". After many attempts and complete feeling of hopelessness, we paid the bill. My friend asked if he could borrow jumping cables and they wanted to CHARGE HIM $75 for it! They also did not accept debit or credit cards. Only cash, cashier's check, and some other type of certified check or money order (can't remember which one it was). According to DARP (Direct Accident Response Program) Towing Rates are: - Vehicles registered at 10,000 pounds or less, for tow to storage facility: $125 - Vehicles registered at more than 10,000 pounds: $140 - First three days of storage: $25 per day - Fourth day of storage and after: $27 per day - Towing to location other than tower's storage facility: add $4.00 per mile plus tolls Everyone in this scheme is getting a big slice of pie. Nice to see how they pay for their decked out Dodge Chargers parked out front of the yard's office. Westbury keep service department crashed my brand new Dodge Ram into a column inside their service department and severely damaged the rear passenger side door. They sent it to AAA body shop to have it repaired. The owner refused to talk to me even though it was my truck he was working on. Never returned any of my 5 calls. Now it looks like my 12 year old painted it with a can of spray paint. Just look at the pics. A Friend of mine who owns a body shop said it's one of the worst he's seen. First of all they bondo'ed it instead of replacing the door skin. Then they painted over the bondo before it was dry and clearcoated over wet paint. Real rush job. Horrible! read more

An absolute scam. These people charged me $400 bucks for towing. They charged me for three days. Even though they picked the car up on Sunday at 1am. We even stopped by 8am Sunday morning to pick the car but it was closed, we had to go back. So we go on Monday and see theyve charged us for a THREE DAYS. Had we known these guys were frauds we couldve driven our car and left it in a nearby street for the night. Would've saved us 400 bucks! And they completely lied on the invoice. It says call tome 23:40 on Saturday.... and then says pickup time 10:10 on Saturday. Huh?!?!? Did they go back in time to pickup my car . They picked up my car on Sunday 1am. This company advertised for office help. I went in with my excellent resume to a hoarders paradise! Sat with Mike, told me he'll be in touch, three times he called me back to come and interview with him. Every single time I went he said " I can't do this right now you'll have to come back! Really! If I could give them zero stars I would. Not only is this place a nightmare to deal with but the guy that owns it is a total and complete rude condescending, inconsiderate scammer. 17 hours on their lot (police called them to tow, not me) they charged me $1,350. It's absolutely criminal. Not only that but after my car got to my body shop the door was dented and the mirror completely broken off which wasn't like that when I saw the car at the tow yard a day before. My body shop and I are working to get them off the tow list for the county. Disgusting excuse for a business, avoid them at all costs. You'll thank me. read more

I was not at all. These people are ripoffs. It's absolutely unbelievable. I just want to warn other people not to go there or they too will be ripped off too. read more

This is literally the worse business I ever experienced in my life!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! They told me my vehicle was repossessed and impounded and could not release it back to me! This is incorrect as it was only towed there and awaiting to be picked up as I am out of the country! They are holding my vehicle, my possessions inside the vehicle and taking days to get back to anyone all while my car is racking up fees! The level of miscommunication is astronomical and I still have been unable to make an appointment. I never thought I would have to get lawyers and police involved. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS!?!?! read more

This place is a joke. My brother was in a car accident and they came and took his car without warning. My brother is sitting in a hospital bed without his phone or stuffed animal that gives him comfort and this worthless company refuses to come on a Saturday and open the doors to let me retrieve his items from him. It is also Memorial Day weekend and they will not open the doors UNTIL TUESDAY for me. How insane?? Also when I called the dispatch to see if they could give me a number to someone who can open the shop for me he said that my needs and wants don't matter in life and that I'll just have to wait. Wait 3 days for comfort? Insurance company's don't close I need my valuables from this company. I can only wish the worst karma among the people who run this shop. How dare you. I was unable to get all of the lug nuts off the tire in order to get the donut on so I walked over to AAAA-1 Towing to ask for help. A young man from AAAA-1 Towing came over to help and get the last lug but off of the flat tire. ONE LUG NUT AND HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $30!!!!!! The manager told me $50 to change the tire and put the donut on.... outrageous prices!!!! I feel taken advantage of and would NEVER recommend anyone going there in an emergency. Unprofessional and lack of competency! Two words to describe this business. I called in to get info on my storage fee and they said they need release documents. How do I know how much to secure before I step foot in a place?? Horrible business. Don't go there! read more

Obviously nobody wants to deal with the towing company. They are by far the most unprofessional towing service ever. After I paid the towers fee I then had to hand the key to the man that was taking care of us. As soon as I gave him the key he then began to argue with his co worker about who will take the vehicle to the front. One of them finally decided to do their job after 5 minutes of arguing. Really? After me paying you, you'd have the guts to waste my time over driving my car to the front of the lot. i'd do it if it wasn't for your bogus "security reasons" Prior to this when I first called them, I asked the man if he had my car. He asked me, "what kind?". I told him the model and he replied "yes". I then asked him "how much do you want". He asked for 300 dollars in cash only or else my car would have to sit in the lot for as long as I didn't pay. Basically holding my car hostage until I paid their uber exorbitant price. If i didn't act then the price would only increase by virtue of the vehicle having to stay overnight. The car was in their lot for no more than 3-4 hours and they really had the guts to charge that much? I guess its because they know I have no other choice so they'd take this as an opportunity to capitalize on this situation since they had the unfair advantage. What they did is nothing short of what an extortionist would do. read more

This place is ridiculous. After an accident our car was takin here. They are not making it easy for us to get our car. I had to get a letter notarized and two forms of id and gave it to our auto body shop to go get our car. They said we have till 4:00. But then they say their computers are down and we have to wait till the next day. Now its the next day and they still are not letting us have our car. The lady on the phone is very rude. Seems they are trying to get as much money as possible. I have a newborn and two other kids. I just need my car back. Avoid this place if you can. read more

I assisted a friend of our family whose car was impounded by the police through no fault of hers through an unauthorized use of the vehicle. The police warned us that AAA1 Towing would try to jack the price up beyond the regulated price. We got the release papers from the police for the car and then went to get the car from them. They tried to charge us their regular price which was 2x as much. I pointed out that this was regulated and the receptionist said that they had given us the right price. I said I would call the police to confirm, but she then called her manager who also tried to fool us by saying "I just put it in the computer and this is the price." I called the police and so did he. He eventually acknowledged that the first price was incorrect but claimed it was because of a problem with the computer. Stay away from this place-they are crooks. read more
