He was very professional, patient, and willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very good communicator. Everything post Covid seems higher in cost, so there was some sticker shock from the bid, but it seemed like his pricing was in line with the other bids we got. The fact that he is also a licensed contractor reassured us that he would not only be able to replace the windows but also be trained enough in general construction to be able to find the source of the leak and fix it. As a general contractor, he has connections in the trades and brought in a sheet metal worker who did a great job providing solutions and extra protections against the leaks. We feel pretty confident, but the true test will be this winter if we have strong storms with lots of rain. There was a problem at the end, but Winnifred did the right thing and fixed it, standing behind his work with integrity. Overall great customer service, communication, and quality workmanship. We would definitely recommend Winnifred and Glasswork by Design.

I called 5-6 different shops and heard the same thing over and over: it would have to be a special order, they wouldn't be able to touch it for a week, etc. I was about to give up when I stumbled across Tommy's and gave them a call. They have a large inventory of glass, and offered to cut a piece to fit if I could get the door to them. Robert, the owner, got on the phone to explain how to safely remove and transport the door. We dropped it off, went to get lunch, and it was ready to be picked up within about 35 minutes. It looks fabulous, and the timing and the price were just great. I'm very grateful that places like Tommy's still exist and would recommend them without reservations.

One slider was completely non operational and the others required muscles to open. Not only did they repair the sliders, they installed screens (which has eradicated our housefly problem) with pet doors. I worked with Grant, Peter, and Joseph through the whole process and they were all so professional and wonderful. They were totally cool with my rambunctious dogs running around the yard as well. The glass was all double paned and unusual shapes, needed to be custom fabricated. Really wanted to get a company that would pay attention to the detail and get this done right since it's a nice house. See my picture. Heads up I will mention the job start to finish took about 4.5 weeks vs the 2.5 weeks initially estimated, largely due to ordering of the custom glass. The price quoted was fair, and they came in 100% on budget. Happy to recommend and use them again. Also happy to use a local business.
