I do not recommend using this company for a residential service or refill. for example, I had a service scheduled to be filled and then called me a liar when I called to confirm same day. I started using AA Bottle Gas in 2024 before they would bring gas I had to have my tank inspected they never mentioned a price and knowing that I'm on a fixed income looks like they would. They came out and inspected my tank filled it up and it cost $125 dollars I had to owe them in two d my tank was empty it had all leaked out and in my house with me and my two grandkids so I called to en form them about it they sent another person to inspect it charged me another $125 dollars they finally after my daughter in law convinced them gave me another tank of gas. My question is do you think I owe them for 2 inspections since they messed up on the first one? read more

A long review.. but I hope people read this so they have a good sense of what they are getting into with this company. I had been renting two tanks from this company for over seven years. One tank for the main supply (water heater, stove, fireplace) and an auxiliary tank that only supplied the clothes dryer. Late last year I had called them to fill both tanks. When the service tech came out, he told me that they could not fill the auxiliary tank due to the proximity to an electrical disconnect box (even though they installed the tank there). After discussing the possibility of running a gas line from the main tank to the dryer, the tech said they would schedule some to come out for an estimate. A week passed with no contact from the company so I called to schedule an appointment and was told someone would call me back. I waited several months while using the remaining gas in the tank and attempted to schedule another appointment ... again I was told someone would call me back... again, no one did. When the tank was almost depleted, I decided to delete the tank all together and run an electric dryer. I called to have the auxiliary tank picked up and the main tank filled. Over the phone I explained that due to the fact that they couldn't fill the tank, I no longer had a use for it. I got home from work yesterday and saw that they had taken the wrong tank...and filled the one "that they couldn't fill"... no hot water, no stove. The following morning I went to their office and asked to speak with the manager. A lady behind a desk looked over and asked "what can I do for you", never getting up from her desk or introducing herself. I explained the situation to which she replied "we picked up the tank you told us to". She proceeded to tell me that she didn't see any notes on the account about not being able to fill the auxiliary tank "but whatever" we will send someone out to move the tank that was filled to replace the other tank. She also stated that they had a big job today and wouldn't be able to get to it until later. I currently have no water and no stove..I went to the office for a solution, not to cast blame, but I felt like she was quick to blame me for the situation. At no point did she apologize for the inconvenience or assure me that they would remedy the issue as quickly as they could. It's not that this company has poor customer service (or management, if she is), they do not have customer service. They do have employees that seem to be incompetent and very unhappy with their career choices. read more

Upset with this company, I was told to call in closer to the year mark so I am not charged the 65.00 yearly fee... they are now charging me extra per pound because I am not low enough for the normal rate. This company is definitely trying to scam people. I have been a customer for many years with no issues. After the new owners took over it has been horrible service ever since. They replaced a tankless waterheater (inside) my garage and I mysteriously developed a leak outside in the line that the short service tech had to stand on to reach the new vent. Many $$$$$ later and a new line it appears to all be good. Propane delivery is ok but would look elsewhere for repairs. read more

I am a newer customer and have received 3 fills. I am now told on scheduling the 4th fill that since I cannot take 65 gallons my price jumps from 3.42 to 5.16. Only my first fill was over 60 gallons since it was an empty tank. The 2nd and 3rd fills were less than 65 gallons but the price was 3.42. I was told it shouldn't have been since it is against company policy. So I guess don't call these folks if you have 120 or less gallon tank. Since my heater cannot run at pressures under the 30% mark I will never be able to get 65 gallons. When I said to keep the appointment but I would have to shop around I was told "good luck". Ouch. It would be cheaper to vent 10% of the tank to atmosphere to get your 3.42 per gallon rate than to pay 5.16. By comparison another competitor is charging 3.79 per gallon so.... that's a hefty hidden delivery fee from the company with "no fees". Response from Owner on Google: Response from the owner19 hours ago: "You need a bigger tank if your heater cuts off at 30%. 1 star really. How do you imagine us paying for trucks and drivers if we don't deliver enough gallons to make any profit. We do appreciate your business but we're a for profit company." I know for certain you don't pay for trucks and drivers by losing customers and judging by the other reviews in Google, I am not the only one. Appreciation of a customer's business is not shown with condescending language. I Imagine this is also reflected in how your Drivers are interacted with. Right now in this economical climate, you need those drivers far more than they need you and after a quick check on Glassdoor.com, you aren't paying them much anyways. If any AA Bottle Gas Drivers are reading this and would like a path to more gainful employment with your CDL-B or a learning and employment path with a CDL-A you have many more options in Jacksonville than AA. UPS, Saia, Yellow, ODFL, AAA Cooper and SEFL are hiring right now, all above your pay and with overtime and full benefits. Don't keep yourself attached to one person's poor business plan. read more

The worst Propane co. in NE Florida! They installed our Propane regulator in the flood zone. So during Nicole it was covered with water from the marsh. Hence our generator would not operate. We called them every week since November.. All we get is that when they have an opening they will come out to "look"! We called First Coast Gas, and they arrived the same day. read more

I would rate 0 stars if it were an option. The problem we were having was thoroughly explained over the phone to confirm they handle that kind of problem. The rep seemed to agree it was something they handled and set up the service call. When the AA Bottled gas guy arrived. The issue was explained again and he said, "Yeah, we don't handle that kind of thing". Within 5 minutes, he left. I scheduled a propane delivery with AA Bottled Gas for January 11, 2021 and no one showed up. I figured they're a bit busy so I gave them another day, but another day came and went...no delivery, not even a phone call. I called on day three to find what was going on only to be told "yeah we talked to you on the 8th of January". They made no attempt to get me taken care of!!! I requested they cancel my account. COVID-19 is not an excuse for incompetence. Fortunately for me I had a backup plan. Blossman Gas & Appliance came through and took care of my needs. Five Star Service. Worst customer service experience ever! One of their employees miscommunicated information to us when delivering gas, causing us to unknowingly use the gas (kept the pilot lit). The tank was on empty before we could use it for the season. I called AA and spoke with Misty (the general manager) and was told in simple terms, you used the gas, you pay for it....even if we used it per the advice of an employee. And on top of that, they want us to pay $100 to test the lines.....I understand the need to test but they were not even willing to waive the fee or discount the fee. I Have been dealing with AA Bottled Gas for maybe 10 years now. They carry maybe 2000 hot sauces and bbq rubs. I mean rows and rows of theses thing. They even have some behind the counter. You might have to sign for them cause they are that hot. I like their gas tank fill cause you get 20lbs not the 16-17 at the c-stores for more money. They just raised their prices on gas to 15.30 and 20lb tank. It's like 20+ at the C-Stores. They also carry a lot of case iron cook ware and outdoor and indoor cooking supplies. I even purchased my Soda Stream system from them too. They have many different smoking units in the place too. Anything from the Big Green Egg to gas fireplaces to many cook top units. This place has everything for the cooking enthusiast. read more

They do not answer the phone. If you leave a voicemail your call will not be returned promptly, if at all. They make appointments, then don't show up, don't call. Had their techs out twice to fix a gas log fireplace. Neither one could do it. Called a competitor, who fixed it in less than five minutes. Did a lousy job of hooking up a generator, installing a valve in such a position that it blocks the gauge that shows how much propane I have. While doing so they turned off the pilot light in my water heater, so the next morning I had no hot water. Called appx 8AM. As usual, no one would take the call. Left voicemails in each of four departments explaining the situation and asking them to call me back right away. Finally at 1PM one of the four called. They are off the team. This is the most poorly managed, incompetent company I've ever dealt with. read more

Gentleman showed up to give me an estimate..later I got an email with a quote that was 400.00 lower..I expected the deal.installers show up and said they were running my gas line totally different from what the last guy said... upon installing the gas line they knocked a fan outta my ceiling in the bathroom..installer admitted that they did it and that's were my line was running thru...they never said anything to the office about this issue...at this same time I bought a tankless water heater from them which they waited til they put it up to tell me that I needed to have a plumber come out and do the plumbing... would have been nice to know that they didn't have a contractor to install their equipment sale...never the less I also had them concert my new range to propane..when the installer changed the orifice on the high btu burner he left out the choke rendering the burner useless until I buy a new one...since then the price has changed to a 400 difference higher...I have since switched company's where they were given notice from the new company of the disconnect and to pick up their tank..it's been a lil over 2 weeks and it's still here,so I call them where Misty informed me that they would pick it up if I was paying the remainder of my bill and that if I move it it would be a felony....I have since heard of many problems with this company since they now have people in office heading it up with zero gas experience...aa gas was a house hold name at one time that now seems that it's down fall will be completely employee based...for my review I would advise seeking gas elsewhere..my second choice that I wish would've been my first is blossman gas ..
