And he doesn't rush stuff. He carefully tags it and he's honest with you about how long the work will take and he gives you options if you want it faster. And if something goes wonky later on after you get your guitar back and play it a while, or you have some additional preference after you pick up your guitar, he invites you to bring it back. Maybe you want something adjusted a little bit differently. Maybe the neck settles a little bit after set up even though he gave it a couple days to settle before he turned it over to you. Who knows. It's your pleasure. And his delight to help you. And when you pop back in, he'll take a look at your guitar and, if you can wait a few minutes, he'll tweak it or zap it and hand it right back to you faster than you could get an In-N-Out Burger drive-thru. It hadn't been tuned in at least two decades, so I wanted to go with someone I knew would do a thorough job. He charged a flat rate, which was a little pricier than the other quotes I received, but I still decided to go with him because he seemed knowledgeable and experienced. And I was right. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the end result. He vacuumed the inside of my piano, tuned it three times, and was finished within 90 minutes.
