Let me start by saying my son is 4 1/2, and he is already at a 2nd grade reading level. He can count past 100. He can recite the ABCs in Spanish. He has learned so much and thrived at this daycare. Thanks to EHLCC, he is more than prepared for TK. Other things to note - they have a good nap/food schedule. He eats very good, healthy, delicious meals there. They do lots of crafts, they have an amazing property where the kids have lots of structures and toys to play with. They have learning time, which is where he has learned to read and write at the level he is at now. The helpers, "Mama Wes" and "Teresa" are like family to him and he talks about them every day when he comes home. This is his last month there and I'm in tears just writing this review because we will miss everyone so much. I really can't recommend them enough. He loves going every day and I know he will be sad to move on. If you are like me and value your children's' happiness, education, and safety, this is the daycare for you.

Another thing we love is that the program is STEM-based and the kids use very little technology, which is so refreshing. Each month they highlight an artist, an author, and a science theme, and the kids participate in science experiments, creative projects, and tons of fun hands-on activities. Communication is excellent, the pricing is very reasonable, and the recent changes have been wonderful. We especially love the new app and being able to check in and see our kiddos during the day--it brings so much peace of mind. As someone who works in a public school, I can honestly say my daughter is THRIVING here. She is learning so much and is incredibly advanced for her age. We're so happy that we're planning to keep her here for TK and possibly kindergarten because the foundation she is getting is amazing. She has gone from being a timid and silent observer, to an engaged and exuberant student. After spending weeks touring many local daycares and other Montessori schools in Oceanside, the minute I stepped into Miss Komal's classroom I knew this was the place for us. I've never felt so uplifted in a pre-school environment- filled with natural materials, and seemingly endless educational activities for children to explore independently. It is a true gift to have Miss Komal's 30 years of experience educating young minds. I love that our daughter learns about other cultures, countries and traditional celebrations around the world. This school feels like a second family and we wish we could stay here forever & preserve the magic that is Montessori education. The outdoor classroom spaces are so vary special!! I can't tell you how important it is to us to have our daughter spending so much time outside with new scientific studies now confirming how important outdoor time is for developing minds and for mental health. And the scheduled dance classes and yoga sessions that the children get to participate in weekly are creating a love for physical movement and health. The additional presence of the classroom chickens (who get to roam around!), the classroom Tortoise and parakeets brings joy and delight to this very special school experience. We look forward to the seasonal rhythms of hatching eggs in the spring, watching the chicks grow all summer, and year round outside field trips to visit horses, farms, ecological preserves, music schools, botanical gardens and more! It feels like magic to witness my daughter and her class mates rolling out their mats, selecting a school work task or game, playing peacefully & then responsibly rolling up and returning their mats when they're done!
