Our firm has worked with Melissa for two years now. She initially rescued us from several years of…read moreawful service from a financial company handling our books, payroll and tax returns. We were receiving letters from the FTB and IRS regarding mishandled returns. Melissa patiently and methodically helped us address the state and fed and carefully refiled about 3-years worth of returns on our behalf. At the speed of government it's taken almost the time we've been together to clean up our tax records. In the meantime we've filed 2 returns with her. We're amazed by the tax advice and the research she has done on our behalf to get us the best possible outcomes and to plan ahead instead of after the fact. Melissa is a straight shooter, tells us like it, both good and bad, and advocates for us. She has prepared both our corporation and personal taxes and neither is easy. If you want shortcuts, she is not your person, but if you are looking for solid tax advice, forward thinking planning and solid tax returns, we highly recommend Melissa for your business and/or personal needs. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented, but she genuinely cares about her clients. Over the years she's helped me navigate everything from routine tax filings to complex business and personal financial decisions -- always explaining things clearly and making sure I understand the "why" behind the tax law and her recommendations. I never feel rushed or embarrassed to ask questions, and I always come away feeling more informed and confident in our decisions. She helped us successfully navigate a difficult long-term tax issue with the IRS -- and thanks to her thoroughness and persistence, we didn't have to pay for a mistake that wasn't ours. She consistently brings us new tax information as it becomes available and explains how it could affect us -- both as a business and personally -- along with smart ways to take advantage of benefits or minimize any negative impact. She helps us plan ahead in ways that have saved us stress and money! Her fees are more than reasonable given the quality, care, and peace of mind she provides. Having been through several CPA's before finding Melissa, I can tell you that it's rare to find someone who is this skilled and proactive. If you're looking for a CPA who is trustworthy, experienced, and truly invested in your success, I can't recommend Melissa highly enough.

My parents are small business owners in Napa that entrusted the services that Elite Financial…read moreServices provided for over five years. However, all trust was broken when we received a letter from the IRS with frightening penalties. We later came to find out that they had never filed our taxes for the past two years and that the services we paid for never were completed. As a small business operating family owned for over two decades, penalties like this could crush a small business. In the turmoil that followed, we have yet to receive an apology from Elite Services or urgency on their behalf to cover in FULL the penalties, struggled to receive financial documents that we are entitled to, and now, receive our money back from our impound account (we have lots of unanswered emails from Cristal and her team). We also know of other businesses that are receiving services with Elite Financial Services, being hit with similar penalties from the IRS from Elite Financial Services not doing their job. I highly recommend all businesses and locals look elsewhere for services.

I have never written a negative review before. However my experience with Elite Financial was so…read moreunprofessional, frustrating and stressful, that I don't want anyone else to ever be in my position. The overarching theme is that they are unorganized, unprofessional and communication is horrible. From starting with them in June 2022 there was one red flag after another that I continued to ignore and just hoped things would get better. A few low notes: - I signed the paperwork to hire them for payroll on June 8 and no one got back to me until June 22 after I contacted them on June 16 to find out next steps - June 30 paycheck for employee is incorrect - I received multiple "notice of form delinquency" letters from the EDD - They are very slow to respond to emails and I typically had to send follow up emails before I got a reply - Over the course of 1.5 years I worked with three different payroll people because they kept leaving the company I know of two other people (business owners and individuals) who worked with Elite Financial for their taxes and Elite Financial never filed their taxes and the people were hit with huge penalties (which Elite did not pay for or return their calls). Be sure to read their Google and Yelp reviews. One of the positive Google reviews is from a current employee, but she does not disclose her relationship to Elite. I would give them zero stars if that was an option.
