OK so I want to love Battle Racing, but unfortunately this place leaves a lot to be desired…read more I recently went here for my cousins birthday because he wanted to live out his inner child dreams of doing real life Mario Kart. We went in a large group, and got to try out both the racing and the shooting game they offered. The actual race is so fun - you can buy a package to do two races that's around $25, but they offer group discounts and deals the more tickets you buy. I had a blast racing the go-karts, and it was even more fun because I beat my entire family much to their dismay. While the go-kart experience is fun, the entire experience of Battle Racing is pretty mediocre. The building itself is pretty run down, and the staff is not very welcoming or helpful. The place doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of other games to play while you wait your turn, and they also do not offer reservations and the experience is first come first served. I would imagine that creates a weird experience if you aren't the first ones to arrive like we were. There is only one bathroom for the entire space, so if the place is full you have to wait quite a bit. They also offer food and private party services, but seemed pretty unprepared for our private party which my cousin booked in advance with time details and food requests. I think this place could be really successful if they spruced the place up a bit, offered a bit more organization when it came to booking, and had a more welcoming team. There is definitely potential, but it missed the mark for our party this weekend. There is a free parking lot in the back of the building, as well as street parking. Overall, if you want to go-kart race here I would be prepared for an in-and-out experience as it's not a place you want to linger.

We either caught this place on the come-up (maybe a "soft opening"), or it has not reached its…read morepotential. The space is great & the location is good. The things that have been paid attention to (outside decor, the inside lighting, the overall theme etc) are well done. From that aspect, you are transported once you walk through the doors. But, the inner-workings lack the competitiveness to be in the same general area as K1 racing or Dave & Busters. There are better options that appear to run a tighter & cleaner operation 20 minutes in each direction. The battle karts were fun & do employ the gaming aspect that make them more than just go karts. But the software is wonky, the track felt small, & the safety precautions by the attendant were pretty much nonexistent (we had a 9 year old riding w the belt half on & a 14 year old who asked the attendant about tightening the seat belt only to be waved at & be told that it didn't matter). Eating in a room with only neon & black lights isn't too bad...unless you have to kill a roach (which we had to do) & then not having clear, bright-light sight of your food is concerning. (I know this is S FL & having a roach in a warehouse in downtown in the heat is hard to avoid - but this is my actual experience & if that sort of thing grosses you out, I thought you should know.). The gel-ball shooting game is pretty innovative - a mix between paintball & nerf that use small gel caps that sting but don't hurt too bad. Face masks are provided with different nerf implements to use as shields. The space for this competitive team shooting game is a shared space, with spare battle karts taking up a portion of the area. While the shooting zone is separated by a chain link fence, spectators do get hit with strays. Although players have masks, spectators are completely vulnerable. Several older people in our party opted to wear their sunglasses just to protect their eyes while watching others play. The location only has 1 bathroom, which is next to the shooting zone. So, if you are waiting in line during a match, there is a large probability that you will get hit (whether you are part of the party playing or not). The gel bullets move pretty fast & erratically - we found gel pellets in our curly hair for hours afterwards...a warning to anyone with textured styles. After driving & shooting, we were pretty warm. The place hasn't figured out ventilation & is generally warm. They do have air conditioning, but unless we stood directly below the vent - we were breaking a sweat. Here's the overall thing - I'm a Miami guy. I want to support small operations trying new things- even if they haven't quite figured it out yet. I like start ups, out-of-the-box labors of love. There are places that I haven't rated on Yelp bc I had a below average experience, but I felt that the proprietors were giving it their all. I'm not high maintenance - I don't need posh. And if this place had been in a non-gentrified area of town, I think I'd be okay. But, if you are going to spend money for go-karts & shooting games - I would regrettably suggest some place else.

Had a great day at Homestead Miami speedway yesterday with Florida Track Days, The track is great…read moreand fun to ride, from my years of racing and riding in another state I found that this group is superior in their training classes and the on-track leed and follow training for sure, I had an instructor who rode a 600 " young guy" he was great !! not saying that just because he told me I was "doing good", he had to get on me for being over-aggressive entering the corners ....That's what makes these instructors so good they're not out for just "free track time" they care about their customers, I highly recommend signing up for personal instruction whatever the cost ! I can't wait for the next track day. Thank you , D.D. # 29 -BMW GS 1250 and s1000xr # 29

Florida Track Days (FTD) host monthly motorcycle track days at race tracks in the South Florida…read morearea. Cost is typically around $205 for a full track day. This includes the mandatory novice school for beginners. Riders are broken up into 3 groups Novice, Intermediate, Expert. and run 20 min sessions. through the day.The events are very well organized and ran and geared towards providing as much track time as possible. The novice school provides limited basic instruction on track etiquette, flags, body positioning, braking. On my first track day I had wished for more instruction/education but soon realized by my second track day that it's really about getting comfortable on the track. Lean angle, speed etc. So much of it comes with experience and just getting out there while not pushing too hard as you're learning. My only negative comment is the school/instructors could be a little more accommodating to first-time track day riders. It can be a very intimidating experience for a first timer and they seem to have a little bit of a sink or swim approach to track days. Looking for ways to make a first track day experience even less intimidating would go a long way towards getting more motorcyclist to try track days. They have begun to offer free rental of leathers, boots and gloves for novices which is a great idea. Perhaps assigning a mentor for new track riders as well... someone they can talk to or follow on their first track day? Track days are fun, addictive and educational. A rider can learn more in one day on the track than in years on the street. I really wish track instruction was mandatory for new riders/licensing. MSF classes while very beneficial cannot provide this kind of learning environment. There's a need out there for a bridge between MSF and a typical track day instruction for new riders. Overall, Florida track days (FTD) does a great job of hosting track days with a minimal amount of coaching/instruction while keeping the cost reasonable.

He came over and made sure everything was okay, provided an ice pack, and was very comforting and attentive. That level of care really stood out to me. The facility itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. This location did seem a little less busier than the location in Davie however, towards the end of the day, it does pick up a little bit. I also really liked that they offer adult beverages liquor, wine, and canned drinks which gives parents a chance to relax a bit while the kids play. The fun bites were fresh, sweet, and crispy definitely a highlight. They also have Dippin' Dots (one of my favorites), and those did not disappoint. We ordered pizza, chicken tenders, and fries as well those were just okay, nothing special, but the kids enjoyed them. Pricing was reasonable overall. Just note that socks are required and need to be purchased, and jumping is charged by the hour. Some attractions like the zip line and arcade games come with additional fees. I really appreciated the designated area for kids under five it's a safe space where little ones can play without worrying about bigger kids.

Alot of claw games for higher ticket points. I noticed one virtual game and one motorcycle race ride. Various fighting games and fair type ones. The large air hockey was not working there were 2 smaller tables and a pool table, which we noticed had 2 of the same number 15 balls and another missing. You can only buy either $20 or $50 or even more expensive game card nothing in-between it offered 400 points or 1200. They also required to sign a waiver even though we only were going to play video games, which was off since other places do not do that. We still just made the best of it to enjoy the fun.

I had never done a color run so I was excited. It was the most disorganized run ever. Upon check in there was a giant line I am not sure what for because the registration table was not taking people from the line but anyone who just walked up. I noticed this not long after I waited thankfully. Each person had to pay an additional 5 dollars cash even with the groupon. They did not ID you or have you sign any paperwork. And they gave you 1 pack of color powder each. The area pre/post race had a couple of food trucks and vendors. In the middle was a BIG stage with a dj and some hype man type guy trying to get the energy up. There was also a woman dressed like a broke ass raggedy ann up there doing the same. The wave we were in was the 6pm one. The course itself was a joke and so unorganized that a ton of people thought the race started so they ran off. The rest of us had to wait for them to return back before they officially started the race. You had to run the course twice to complete a 5k which means you had to actually exit the course through the finish line and try to make your way through a huge crowd in the post race/dj area and enter in the starting line again. In the course the actual track was way too narrow for all the people there. People were zigzagging between others and cutting off parts of the course. I'm pretty sure I inadvertently missed a whole chunk of the course because It wasn't marked off correctly. They do throw color on you pre race, mid race and at the finish line. You end up getting covered even if you aren't trying. They have a lot of black lights in the mid race and post race area so it pops the powder color. Overall I'll never join this 5k again total rip off. A lot of kids were there and seemed to be having a blast so for families this could be a great healthy alternative to watching the Disney Channel on a saturday night.
