They even let us stay out an extra 30-40 minutes, which we really appreciated. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. They provided free water bottles, dry bags, and even complimentary snacks. At the end of our trip, we were surprised with free ice cream, which was such a nice touch! The kayaks were clean and in great condition, and the staff was very helpful in getting us set up and answering our questions. We had a wonderful time paddling through Las Olas and Fort Lauderdale, enjoying the beautiful scenery and waterways. There were two other gentleman who were part of our group for a total of five including our guide Travis. The ocean was very rough that day but we still were able to enjoy it. We had to go slow on the intercostal because it was manatee season on the way to the ocean. The intercostal has so many gorgeous houses and boats to look at along the way. Once at the ocean away from the intercostal, the guys wanted to go fast for an exhilarating experience. I was very happy staying in front of Dr. Von D Mizell-Eula Johnson state park riding my jet ski there while the guys went fast in the big waves. On the way back, Travis took many pictures of myself and my cousin on the jet skis on the intercostal. We both had a fabulous time. I highly recommend our guide, Travis. He was knowledgeable and helpful with anything you need. I'm also very pleased with JetskiFL and I definitely recommend using this company. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Within 20 minutes, our jet ski started blasting a constant low fuel alarm. I repeatedly asked staff what to do and was told to "just press a button," which did nothing. The loud, nonstop beeping continued, and my kids were genuinely scared and upset. Things only got worse from there. Our tour guide was pulled over by police, and we were left sitting in the water for about 15 minutes with zero explanation or guidance. No one checked on us or made sure we were okay. After that, instead of returning us, the guide stopped AGAIN to talk to more police. At that point, I said I wanted to go back. The entire experience felt disorganized, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. When I requested a refund, I was refused. Even worse, their follow-up response was dismissive and rude -- suggesting I was just "having a bad day" instead of taking any accountability for what happened. If you're considering this company, especially with children, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Safety, communication, and customer service were clearly not a priority.

To the actual day and experience, it was really great, the highlight of our bachelor party weekend to be honest (Jason the host we met there on the day of was super nice and cool guy and had tons of drinks water/koolaid/gaterade/etc. in a cooler for us to take as many as we want to keep hydrated during the adventure, and Brandon our guide was awesome too, super energetic and like a super chill laid-back surfer dude, super positive vibes). So, overall...literally from the first point of contact I made with Lustre from my initial luck of draw accidentally falling upon their website during my belabored search for a Jetski event for our bachelor party weekend, and clicking to inquire and message the business (but my computer froze), Sasha immediately rang my phone (did I mention she's the best again?!) and saved me the trouble of somehow finding their website again (IT"S A CRIME TRIPADVISOR and/or YELP doesn't even have Lustre as #1 for Jetski, THEY DON'T EVEN SHOW LUSTRE on their lists PERIOD...HOW?!? it's quite frankly ridiculous), to the whole process of booking and eventually getting to THE DAY of the event, and then THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE...everything was top notch, and if and when there were any hiccups (like initially not having the ideal time slot we wanted for on Saturday given it was Father's day weekend, or the number of Jetskis or people we were thinking about, etc., etc.), it was always promptly solved and/or answered (usually right away by Sasha...did I mention how great she was?!) with little brainpower from myself (honestly wanted to be more useful during the process, but Sasha just took care of everything lol, almost felt like cheating since planning a bachelor party isn't supposed to be so easy!). The best hidden gem and the best-kept secret in Fort Lauderdale! I've lived in South Florida for…read moremost of my life, and somehow only learned about this a few months ago. This is a FREE alternative to the $40 water taxi. The route is smaller so double-check that it's going where you want to before making plans. If you just want a fun little boat ride to see the river, this is perfect. It's about 20-30 minutes round trip from the riverwalk plaza near Cheesecake Factory. There's also a stop at esplanade park. You can check the live tracker online to see how far away it is. One captain I had pointed out landmarks and talked about the history of the area, and one was quiet. Either way, it was such a fun little outing, and I'd recommend it to both tourists and locals!

So, this is kind of a follow up to my review of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. While the park has…read moremany things to explore, the kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals are handled by Park and Ocean. Located a short walk from the first parking lot, Park and Ocean provides some much needed shade and refreshments during the South Florida summer. I had never been here before, so I arrived a little early to check the place out and reserve kayaks for my friends and I. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful in explaining all the possible options, safety measures, and pricing. She let me know how to get down to the launch area and that there would be lockers for the things we didn't want to get wet, which turned out to be extremely helpful. We went down to the launch and were saddled with great kayaks. The lake is pretty much a straight line, so it's very good for practicing, beginners, and nice scenery. There is a little secret passage which can provide needed shade as well. We planned to have lunch there, but by the time we got done and completely rained on, the restaurant wasn't open yet. So, we used the walkway to access the beach until it was time. The restaurant boasts great local beer on tap and delicious cocktails, as well as elevated bar food and seafood options. I really enjoyed the conch fritters, which were well seasoned and flavorful. Be careful if you don't like spicy food. The young lady who was so helpful in the morning with kayak bookings also told us that the park puts on a reptile exhibition at one, so we were able to take the kids to check out. I will be back soon to try out their other menu items and drinks, and practice with my new paddle board. Hope to see you there.
