These guys are great. We actually listened when they told us about the fact that JEA pays 4 cents…read moreper kilowatt hour but, we pay 10 cents per kilowatt hour we purchase from JEA. We got the battery which stores the extra electricity produced we are not using at the time so, we are not selling back until our battery reaches 100 percent. We got the hybrid water heater so out garage feels like we installed air conditioning which saves us money on cooling and on heating the water we use. My only regret is that we didn't get more solar panels. Our 16 panels produce a good share of our electricity needs but, on overcast days our battery does not ever get to 100 percent capacity. These guys performed all the work they promised and came back to move the water heater at no charge (our old water heater was slimmer and did not interfere with our attic ladder but, the new water heater was a little wider and prevented the attic ladder from reaching the ground). I just wish all the companies I worked with paid attention to customer service like these guys do.

Electricty production seemed ok in the fall but since March my production has taken off bringing my bill close to zero (just taxes and fees). I am ever building up a surplus with fpl which should help bring my low winter bills (~$50) closer to zero. Solar is a great investment and American solar has the best panel. Give them a call.

I had an excellent experience having Synergy install my solar system and power walls. I did a lot…read moreof research and got quotes from over 5 companies. The whole team was excellent to work with. The owner (Johnathan) came out on the initial site visit to explain everything and give me options with the pro and cons with his recommendations where decisions needed to be made. I worked with Jeffery from the start. He was great to work with explaining the different system options and ensuring I got the right size system (even when I thought I needed a larger system he explained why the system size was appropriate instead of just taking the opportunity to have a larger sale). He was always willing to answer any question I had (there were a lot) and get a fast response. The install team was excellent. Sonny and Ryan were the guys I spoke with the most (the rest of the team including Gabriel, Rainer, Serge, and Andrei were all great too, just limited interactions). Sonny and Ryan ensured that everything was done correctly. Even though the install was scheduled for one day, it took a bit more with the complexities of my house and they really paid attention to the details to do things right instead of fast. Always did a great job communicating that was going on and sticking to the commitments they made. The JEA inspector was very happy with the work Synergy did, and explained that there were many companies around town that he would have to do multiple inspections or the systems were not installed correctly. I would highly recommend working with Synergy.

Logan is clearly energized by solar and knows how to make it all work. He engaged the city, technicians, and even a ceiling repair person. He has a contact list that will help you get your results faster than with anyone else. A project manager that can "make a call" is what you want. The visual look of the panels are great, orientated nicely with the roof lines. Not that the form should take priority over function, but cosmetics dont hurt. Through the lens of a non electrician, I think the wiring of the system to the house looks professional and sustainable. I quoted out several solar solutions. I quickly discovered I could get the Cadillac model with bells and whistles that I didn't know existed or a basic Civic model where either options will get you there--to use a car analogy. It seems the key factors between the high and low end systems are the degradation factors and conversion efficiencies. From my solar-naive review, the added cost of the top-end systems (double$$) are just not worth the minor gains. The scale of the gains-to-cost of the top end is simply not worth it unless you just have to have those fractional percentages. Plus all systems come with a 20+ year warranty and are smart house enabled. Florida Roof and Solar's solution is a well balanced system of performance and cost, plus they are able to provide whole house efficiency improvements. Their system is not just middle tier, their panels are within a fractional percentage of any top tier panel on market that I could find, and in some cases were half the cost. I was able to find 2 quotes that were less than Florida Roof and Solar, but what sold me was their ability to add in additional efficiency such as installing a new AC, hotwater heater (a pseudo garage AC) and my favorite, an attic exhaust fan. The convenience of 1 general contractor delivering my roof, AC, Hotwater heater and Solar, plus at market average or better cost, I was sold. If they only also did Windows. They also provided several smart switches and an Alexa...WARNING, the smart enabled devices can become addictive and lead to thoughts of whole house smart device upgrades :) Local Jacksonville company providing a great service.
