There truly was only one company for our huge unexpected project ~ Alpha Roofing. Be careful who you 'roof' with ~ many will not deal with insurance companies leaving you in the lurch just when you need their help most. We received a detailed estimate (thank you Edna and Christina!), Jim took the time to discuss our needed repairs with our insurance company and within a couple of weeks, Alpha had our roof fixed, the shelters beautifully repaired, the downspouts properly in place, the siding up and looking perfect! (THANK YOU SHAWN AND TOM!!) This is a top notch company ~ they keep appointments, their estimates are honest, their crew is professional and their work is unmatched. Above and beyond, Alpha Roofing is a godsend. P.S. Your clean-up was spectacular!

Very frustrating. Don't fall for the 15 year warranty like I did…read more I am writing my honest review after having my roof done by Alpha Roofing in January of 2026. I don't like writing reviews and most certainly don't like hurting people's businesses. I understand a business takes up a lot of time an effort to build and maintain while being easily hurt by reviews dropped casually over petty grievances putting somebody's living at risk. I do think taking thoughtful accountability can be a major driving force in the improvement of a business though, and that is the spirit in which I write this review. In a nutshell here is what happened to me. In December of 2025 I notice a leak in the ceiling of my baby child's bedroom. I call a roofer to take a look, and the ridge of the roof had been pulled off by the wind. Apparently, there were multiple vulnerable spots and the leak in my son's bedroom was just one of them which appeared to come from the chimney's lack of flashing (which was flagged by home inspection when I bought the house). The recommendation was to replace the roof. First offer was 10K with no warranty but after I spoke with Alpha Roofing they offered 7.6K with a 15 year warranty. I took the second offer because it sounded better plus this roofer had been recommended to me by a friend. So, the roof was done in January and in March the same leak appeared in my baby's room only 2 months after the roof was done. I get on the roof to check the chimney and notice that the flashing that had been done was a very poor job. Not only was it not step flashing (which is the standard practice and the logical thing to do here since the chimney was leaking and prompted the roof repair to begin with) but it was not even caulked around the entire perimeter surrounding the top seam of the flashing. When I showed the pictures to my home inspector, he said the flashing they did was called "Philly flashing" AKA "stupid flashing" (his words not mine). It was only the counter flashing with no step flashing laid in overlapping fashion with the shingles. I call Jim Barton (the owner of Alpha Roofing as far as I know and who had been referred to me by a friend) and he sends a couple of his workers to caulk the rest of the seam around the chimney flashing. I ask if the solution is not to do the step flashing since that is the industry standard and because my house inspector told me that the caulking would have to be redone after 2 years or so (and I paid for 15 year warranty). Jim offers to send his guys to redo it every 2 years on my bill. I tell him I don't like that because the price tag of 7.6K I paid included 15 years of warranty. After me basically wrestling with this issue over text messages and many ignored calls, Jim agrees to redo the flashing around the chimney. So, after a couple more months and a new leak in the same spot of by son's bedroom he finally sends his guys again but, surprise: he only does the counterflashing again with no step flashing. The only upgrade was cutting the reglets on the chimney wall to tuck in the top seam of the flashing sheet. I feel I have been wronged by this person. The only time Jim reached out to me was to call me in the middle of the weekend to ask for the payment of the service done the previous day. After that I have been forced to work around his schedule to communicate with him and I can't have a reasonable conversation. This is very unprofessional and shows that he is totally fine leaving me at a very uncomfortable position waiting for my roof to leak again and only then get him to do something about it. I understand that talking to clients can be frustrating and nerve wrecking for a business owner worried about lawsuits and liability. However, I have been very reasonable and waited 9 months before dropping this review after being basically ignored all this time. I am almost ready to abandon this 15-year warranty. I am more than willing to withdraw this review if I see serious and consequential action to make amends.

I had a very disappointing experience with F&MNDS LLC (Sareed Stockton), and I am documenting this…read moreto provide a clear and accurate timeline. The move was scheduled for March 31 at 9:00 AM. The team arrived nearly 3 hours late and did not begin until around 12:00 PM. All of my items were already fully packed, labeled, and organized in advance to make this move efficient and smooth .Which they was very shocked. By approximately 2:00 PM, all boxes were already loaded onto the truck. Despite the delayed start, the team then took a one-hour lunch (approximately 2:30-3:30 PM). At that point, only furniture remained, and I was told the process would move quickly. Instead, the move became extremely inefficient. Items were repeatedly moved within the apartment (room to hallway, hallway to elevator, staging areas) before actually being loaded onto the truck. The truck did not leave until approximately 10:45 PM. The original plan also included stopping at my storage unit to drop off office items (file cabinets) before heading to the new location. Due to delays, we arrived after the storage facility at 11:08 had closed at 10:00PM, which forced a second day of moving. Upon arrival at the new location around midnight, unloading took until approximately 1:30-2:00 AM. The team returned to complete the move, including sofas and planters. I offered to transport my plants myself to prevent damage, but this was declined. Instead:The following day, the team returned to the storage * My plants were left on the truck overnight * They remained on the truck throughout the following day while other stops were made * They were not delivered until later the next evening on April 1, 2026. As a result, 10 mature plants (which took years to grow) were destroyed. Additionally, the storage portion raised further concerns. My storage key was not returned, and I later had to have the lock drilled and replaced at my own expense. Upon accessing the unit, I discovered my file cabinets had been damaged and bent to the point they could not be opened. Additional issues included: * Truck size did not match what was requested (20-26 ft) * Fewer movers were provided than represented * Boxes were not placed in labeled rooms * Furniture was stacked on fragile boxes, causing damage * Multiple items were broken, including furniture and household items The move, which was estimated at 4-5 hours, turned into a 12+ hour, two-day process due to repeated delays and inefficiencies. I also experienced financial loss from having to cancel clients and rearrange my work schedule. After the move, I waited approximately one month and made multiple attempts to resolve this directly through emails, calls, and text messages, with little to no response. I paid $1,000 for these services and made clear efforts to give an opportunity to address the damages or come to a reasonable resolution, but that did not occur. I strongly recommend: * Getting all terms in writing * Confirming truck size, crew size, and insurance beforehand * Keeping a detailed record of communication and condition of items This experience resulted in property damage, financial lost, additional expenses, and significant inconvenience.

Armor was prepared to mobilize and git-r-done. They brought out two crews to hand-fill (two!) 30-cubic-yard dumpsters full of ruined stuff and materials. They helped us sort through salvageable personal items, and gave us great advice on just about everything we had questions about. Before they started, the basement was beyond awful smelling (some sewage waste got in too) and making the rest of the house smell too. In two days of working, removal was done, basement was stripped to bare concrete, cleaned, treated with anti-microbial spray, and smelled very clean. Incredible. The workers were all very professional, courteous and took great care to protect the pathway in-out of the basement, which was through the front door. If I had my house flooded, or smoke-damaged, I would hire Armor Restoration in a hot minute. Can't say enough good things about them. Thanks again for being awesome.

The owner of armor restoration rushed us to pay him the full cost of the project up front. They only care about the money and not helping people during times of disaster. They don't have anyone managing their employees or the work that is done. They don't have anyone doing walk through or audits to make sure the work is being done correctly, yet they charge you for management onsite fee. They did bad drywall patching. Also, My walls ended up with two different beige tones because they only painted over some spots instead of painting the whole wall. They sprayed painted our closet instead of replacing the floors with new wooden blanks. They left trash in one of our closets from previous take out lunches they had. They were very unprofessional and lazy.
