Another 5 star service update and many many thanks Carl his lovely wife Stephanie and Alfonso the big man for this elegant table installed. Promptly arrived on time and they took extra care of every detail making sure the floors and walls were not scratched etc. Carl took his time making sure every detail of the install and items in the room will not interfere with the table placement. We picked a vintage table. Having a new one will not blend with the decor and age of the room. A1 pool is the best place to shop and get your new or used table and accessories PERIOD ! This is an update on a recent transaction yet again very satisfied. Years later and they are still the same great to deal with and very professional and will always take care of your needs. They treat you like family. The installs and set up is done with utmost care. 100% recommended and we cant thank them enough. They have a wide selection of tables, cue sticks, pool cue cases and all accessories needed that will match your style both new and old. Stop by and have a look and support our local store. Amazing service! Carl and his helper (I forgot his name!) did an amazing job. They took the pool table apart carefully carried to the new location and installed meticulously and leveled the pool table very carefully. I am beyond grateful. Every dollar paid was well worth it! I would highly recommend them over a moving service because they are professionals for this service. read more

A1 came out to set up an existing table I had. Fantastic job and came back a few days later to make a few final adjustments. Carl is the best . Highly recommend.. Rick G. read more

Pool cues weigh between 18-21 oz. Better cues can be adjusted with weights. Looking for more control with my Cuetec cue, I wanted to get a couple of weights. It seemed a hassle to order $10 parts online. A-1 has all of supplies. Sho'nuf, they have the weights in 1oz increments. $4.95 read more

My table is almost 20 years old, a nine ft. Brunswick. Mid-range quality table, nothing great but still nice enough. It was out of level and the rails were pretty dead. Carl and Alonzo came out, arrived right on time, re-leveled the table, and tightened the rails. It's playing the best it's played in years. Level is spot on. The rails are much better, but still need replacing. I will do that in the coming months, and when I do A1 and Carl will definitely do the work. Highly recommend them. If you're considering having something done to your table better get to it. Carl told me he's 73 and doesn't know how much longer he'll work before retirement. There aren't a lot of guys with 50 years of experience out there who are still working. read more

Warm and knowledgeable service with fair prices! We got all the accessories we needed for our new pool table. We're beginners, but we didn't feel out of place and were made to feel welcome. We got one and two piece pool cues, triangle, chalk, a cue case, chalk holder, practice cue ball and table cover. I was so excited to see they had the pool cue I had been eyeing online so I was able to try it out. She even threw in a pamphlet about how to play pool right, but I think I will still make up my own rules when I sink the cue ball or eight ball. :-) read more

I had an awesome experience from beginning to end with A1 Pool tables. You can tell the owners are both experts with decades of experience immediately, there was no question I had they couldn't field. The owner installed the table with zero drama, leveled it perfectly (despite an inch+ elevation change in my garage), and gave highly detailed care instructions. I have zero doubt this is the best Pool Table Company in the Bay Area, and the couple running it are delightful people. read more

A1 Pool Tables - New Olhausen Belmont! - Pool & Billiards Near Me - San Leandro, California

My mom and dad, both in their 80s, recently started playing pool on a regular basis at Rossmoor. I've been playing my whole life, and I couldn't be more delighted and impressed with their previously unknown skills on the table. For Christmas 2017, I wanted to get them his and hers cues. The house cues at Rossmoor are in good shape, but there's nothing like playing with your own cue to help with consistency. I found A1 on Yelp (thanks!) and was very pleased with their service. Mom and Dad are enjoying their new Nick Varner cues, and as it turns out, A1 takes care of the tables at Rossmoor and knows the president of their billiard club well. read more

A1 broke down and moved a table that a jabroni previously set up with a bunch of garbage filler and sealant. They fixed up the issues, delivered on time, and set the table up perfectly. I have a pretty nice electronic level, and they balanced it out to 0.0 degrees on an upper level wood floor with deflection issues. Every shot I take is line perfect. The table is so level I've found problems with my cheap cue on shots. Only the cue or spin makes the balls deviate direction. Secondary contact never deviates. The floor is flat. You can save maybe $100 using some bozo with a pickup truck. These folks have been doing it longer than I've been working in my own career. Total pros. read more

Great job, reasonable, full service delivery and refelting. Showed up and did everything they promised with attention to detail. read more

David with A1 installed our pool table on time and very professionally. Our previous install was not done properly which was evident by all the shims that were used. David, his wife, son and 2 other crew members worked almost 3 hours. They removed the old felt, scraped plaster and old wax from the slate and put everything back together like new. Very hard working honest family man that lost everything from Hurricaine Ian but still managed to keep our appointment only 3 weeks after Ian hit SWF. THANK YOU DAVID! read more

What a great place for a pool table or accessories. Carl and Stephanie are great and easy to deal with. These are great quality pool tables. Not cheap materials and will last. They will even deliver and set up! read more

Can do better on customer service, and have a more prepared response system. Also, I don't know if anyone mentioned this before, but your website is not very detailed and hard to navigate. read more

Very poor service , they told me and my family that we had a delivery locked in and needed to make a deposit and when we called in we were told a date that was two week later then what was discussed. Now we cannot bring our pool table with us that has been in our family for years read more

I can count how many yelp reviews I've done on one hand. I'm a little skeptical because anyone can say anything about anybody. This is a Family business and they made me feel like family. Carl & Stepanie are the best. I bought a pool table from them 20 years ago and they came out today to put on new felt and relevel my table. 2 of them were here for 3 hours working non stop. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone!! read more

Great service, delivery and setup. Very friendly owners, knowledgeable. They have been in the business for many years. And, excellent price for top brand pool table. My go-to billiards place. Marty and Amy read more

I use A1 to get my pool table refurbished (new bumpers, felt and alignment as well as repairing an old Mali pool cue that needed a new wrap and tip. These guys are great. You can see that Carl has seen a pool table or two and he really knows what he's doing. I strongly recommend them. read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Stephanie and Carl at A-1 Pool Tables. My daughters and I made the trip over in search of an air hockey table and Stephanie couldn't have been more helpful. She was delightful as she showed us what was available to order and even took us to their storage facility to show us a used pool table that included a slide hockey insert. We ended up ordering an air hockey table and purchased the pool table, which included accessories and new felt in our choice of color for no additional charge. The pool table was delivered in a matter of days and that was also done in a professional and courteous manner. The air hockey table should arrive in another week or so. Just a wonderful overall experience! read more

Very professional. Setup and re-felted my table. They were on time, courteous and clean.

These guys were very helpful to me when I recently bought a pool cue - lots of information, friendly service, good deal on cue and case, high quality merchandise. Thank you A-1 ! read more

We had such a great experience here I feel compelled to write a review. We were a bit of a special case because they had a used table that worked with our limited budget. That didn't stop their kindness. They gave us new balls and new cloth with no additional cost. After installing our table, they exchanged some of our used cues to fit better in our garage. They also threw in chalk and cue clips at no additional fee. These are the nicest people and we couldn't be happier with our table. It's used and plays like new. We highly recommend them for their great tables and exceptional customer service. read more

Best service, friendly atmosphere, great products, staff extremly knowledgeable. The carry darts boards, billard supply. Set up is fast and accurate. I love this place, if you are looking for friendly, fast service with quality product, this is the place to go. See Carl or Stephanie they will be sure to take care of you! read more

Stephanie and Carl are awesome. They have run this business for decades and this has given them unsurpassable knowledge on their products. Stephanie went out of her way to make sure we got the pool table that was right for us and the color of felt that was exactly what we were looking for... she is such a sweetheart. I mentioned it to Carl when he came to install the table. He told me he got lucky and she gets more compliments than him. But I don't believe that. He was also amazing. He made sure that we got what we wanted and he gave us a very good deal. When he did the install he was meticulous to ensure the table was perfectly level and aligned. He takes pride in using his tools which included and engineers level and assured me that things were perfect. His level would detect a difference as thin as a sheet of paper. Both of these individuals are class acts. They are delightful and they have been successful in their business because they put the customer first. read more

I absolutely love and adore this beautiful couple. I went last year to get a pool table for my husband's birthday. It was a milestone birthday. Our sons and myself went to A1 Pool Tables. I'm a complete novice on the prices of tables and accessories as well. Stephanie helped me to understand the cost of tables, colors of the table felts etc. Her husband took us to see the table that they had available and he gave me invaluable information on the table and maintenance. My husband was completely surprised. When the table was delivered and being setup, he came to me, and said this was a dream come true for him. He never imagined that he would ever own a pool table. It made our boys and myself incredibly grateful to God for the blessings that these beautiful people gave us. Any chance I have I always mention my story and I always recommend A1 Pool Tables. I wish I could give them 10+ stars. read more

I have been there a couple of times and they are extremely nice and helpful. First time I bought our table cover and then we went back and bought a couple of sticks. Even better, they were on sale and came with a case. The guy explained everything about the different sticks. I definitely recommend this place. read more

We bought a Cue for my son months ago. It developed a slight change in weight and even though was perfectly straight, it rolled to one spot when set on a table. We showed it to A-1, and she said, "if it bothers you, we will replace it", and she went over and grabbed a NEW Cue off the rack, let my son inspect it and then let us trade ours for the new one, no questions, paperwork, or money needed. I went in to ask what they thought, I had no intention of asking them to replace it. What a fine way to run a business. Give them a try for your pool needs. Lots of furniture and other pool related items too. read more

I purchased a 8 foot oversized Olhausen on Craigslist and had A1 do my transport and installation. Very good experience overall. They really went out of their way to educate me as I tried to decide which table to purchase even though I wasn't purchasing it through them. The moving of the pool table was quick and seamless. The installation was very efficient and with a high level of quality. The installers were very kind and courteous. After the table was fully installed I even got an overview of how to care for it to keep it in good shape. Overall, a very good experience. read more
