OK I have to change my review ...the first time I tried it the rice and the chow mein was good and that was about maybe six months ago. I just got the sweet-and-sour chicken and wonton soup. Probably the worst wonton soup I've ever had there was no flavor to it, the wonton wasn't properly cooked and it was super thick, there was a teeny tiny little piece of meat in it. The sweet-and-sour chicken... As seen in the picture they didn't have the sauce on it, I bit into the chicken and it was super super dry so I won't be back

Excellent customer service. Staff very friendly and attentive. The newly remodeled restaurant is very clean. Food service is rather a fast food type where one goes to counter to order food. It is Americanized Asian cuisine. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. But do not expect to be authentic Asian food. Good size of portion with rice. Fried rice has very little eggs could be due to inflation. Shrimp sauce is tasty. Good fast food place.

We also had the drunken noodles and the spicy chicken steamed buns. I will say that the portions feel small for the apps and buns. Entrées are filling. There are several nearby lots also pay-to-park but some may be free on weekends. Kaizen appears to me to be more akin to an Izakaya than a noodle hosue, where you basically go for drinks and they supply some food to keep things going - it has a more expansive menu than an Izakaya (which tends to be yakitori and sushi) - Kaizen's menu features several noodle dishes which all looked very interesting. We started with the appetizers and ordered some mixed steamed buns and soup. All of the buns that I tried I liked quite a bit - some strong, distinctive flavors. For an entree I ordered the Koji-Cured Ribeye medium-rare - 12 oz sliced ribeye, gai lan, broad bean paste, steamed rice. The steak was cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional - the next night we tried Fin-Two Japanese Ale House across the street - this restaurant was my preference - the flavors seemed more authentic and the quality of the dishes better in my opinion.

Most of the food was delicious and they do a great job of keeping the trays stocked. Grace took good care of us and we were stuffed by the time we left. The restaurant and staff were typical Chinese vibe. I'll be honest, coming from NY, my expectations weren't high. I didn't even take pictures at first because I assumed there wouldn't be a review (and I usually won't post a negative one). When I tell you SHOCKED isn't even a strong enough word... I'm not kidding. We didn't want leftovers, so we ordered a few things to share. They brought kimchi and pickled cucumbers to the table. I'm not even a kimchi person, but this one was delicious; and the sweet, tangy cucumbers were fantastic. Wonton soup is always my barometer for good Chinese food. The broth was flavorful with just a little kick. The wontons were plump with filling and had a super thin wrapper-absolutely delicious. We tried both the egg roll and the spring roll-both spot on. The duck sauce and Chinese mustard were excellent too. For our main, we ordered General Tso's chicken (mild spice) with white rice. First of all... the platter was HUGE. Aside from being slightly spicier than I personally prefer, it was AMAZING. And yes...WHITE MEAT CHICKEN! Big chunks of juicy, crunchy chicken, large slices of onion (which I love), pieces of pepper, and a delicious sauce that coated everything perfectly. Halfway through the meal I realized I HAD to take a picture because this review was happening. This wasn't "good for Tennessee." This was genuinely DELICIOUS Chinese food. Yong Asian House-BRAVO!

Asian Yummy in Knoxville is an absolute gem and easily one of my favorite dining experiences in the area. From the moment you walk in, everything feels thoughtful and welcoming. The first thing that stood out to me was the sparkling clean restaurant and the clean glassware and crisp, filtered water--a small detail that speaks volumes about how much care they put into the guest experience. The portion sizes are incredibly generous for the price, making it feel like a true value without sacrificing quality. Every dish I tried is satisfying, flavorful, and clearly prepared with pride. You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. What truly elevates Asian Yummy, though, is the exceptionally friendly service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger. You're treated like a valued guest, not just another table. Clean, affordable, delicious, and welcoming--Asian Yummy hits every mark. If you're in Knoxville and looking for a place that consistently delivers comfort, quality, and outstanding hospitality, this spot is an absolute must.

It's always just cooked and only the white meat is served in big chunks never cut up into pieces. Here although it was still good, but it looked like it was fried lightly which changed the taste of the broth. Also, the noodles were different here. If I come back (distance) I'll only get sushi, unless they change the way they make chicken pho, because I love pho soup. Place is clean and staff friendly.
