For years I have been afraid of any dentist visit stemming from trauma at an early age. While I was very nervous when I was told by Dr. F that I would be needing a root canal, I was put as ease by him and Assistant Gabriella. As soon as we started, I quickly learned I was in the hands of a perfectionist. Dr. F was overly accommodating to my personal (i.e., trauma) and medical needs (i.e., made sure I didn't have any pain), and was professional throughout the entire process. I left feeling whole again with a same-day crown. I Again, I highly recommend Dr. F and staff at Pinewood Dentistry for all of your dental needs!

The administrative staff was very friendly and helpful especially in breaking out the insurance and copay info. The technician was also very friendly and it's just a nice relaxing but professional atmosphere. My appointment was smooth and with very little wait time. I took advantage of their online check-in and had the forms filled out online before I got there which was a nice timesaver and a more comfortable way to complete them. Dr. Gary Bishop is super personable and puts you at ease right away. He explained everything completely and answered all my questions. I'm very glad I found them and I would recommend Pinewood Dentistry without hesitation.

I paid in full at my first visit for two crowns and additional dental work--one crown on each side of my mouth. It took over three months to complete the treatment. Initially, the office failed to order one of the crowns. At the following appointment, I was told the incorrect shade had been ordered, with no clear timeline for resolution. The temporary crowns repeatedly fell off, even though I was careful not to chew on those areas. When the final crown was placed, it fell off immediately because the technician had improperly prepped the tooth using the wrong cleaning agent, which rendered the cement ineffective. This kind of oversight is completely unacceptable. In addition, despite multiple verbal warnings and having it documented in my chart that I cannot tolerate fluoride due to an inflammatory reaction, a technician applied it without asking or reviewing my medical information. This could have had serious consequences for my health. The environment was also deeply unsettling. At one point, another patient began screaming, using expletives, and accusing staff of ignoring her pain. In response, the office staff turned up the music so loud it felt more like a nightclub than a medical facility. Overall, I found the clinic to be chaotic, careless, and unsafe. I will not return to any Sage Dental location. C. Stone

I ended up getting a second opinion from a different trusted provider who confirmed that none of those treatments were necessary. The dentist I saw, Dr. Shahpatel, came across as condescending and dismissive of my questions. I wasn't given preventive advice or a proper cleaning before they made their $650+ diagnosis. They also broke everything down into three treatment appointments without me agreeing to anything, which made it feel more like a sales pitch than a medical visit. It was frustrating and honestly felt like they were taking advantage of me being young and in-network. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

I am very disappointed in Lanier Dental Partners. My wife and our two (now adult) children have…read morebeen patients of Dr Palmer for 22 years. We started seeing him before he joined Lanier Dental Partners, and we followed him there. We all go every 6 months for a cleaning, even during Covid. My children sat in my wife's lap as babies so they wouldn't grow up scared of the dentist. There has also been the occasional dental emergency. EVERY TIME we paid immediately after the appointment was over. For twenty years we have lived at the same address and had the same phone number. Dr Palmer recently retired and I am not very happy with Dr. Patel, his replacement. Recently, every time we go, they insist we fill out a medical history form, even if nothing has changed. The last time I went in for an appointment it was the same thing but then, the woman at the desk asked for a copy of my Driver's License. Remember, for twenty years we pay as soon as the appointment is over and we've lived in the same house. They really have no need to ask for my Driver's License. I decided we would just find another dentist and cancelled all our upcoming appointments. Now, they can legally ask for my Driver's License. However there is a lot of identity theft going on in the world. If hackers can breach large companies like AT&T, Equifax, Visa etc., how easy is it to breach Lanier Dental Partners? I would not advise anyone to have their Drivers License copied unless you have to for insurance reasons. I am in the finance business and 4 or 5 times a year we hear from our clients that someone stole their I.D. Businesses like Lanier Dental Partners have a policy in place that makes your identity accessible. I would think twice before you hand over that information. On February 7, Dr Patel sent me a Certified Letter "firing" us from her practice because I refused to give them my license. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this practice. They only want to check the boxes and have forgotten they are dealing with real people. The letter from Dr. Patel is just one more example. I would have never done this review, but Dr. Patel just went too far. P.S. Had my final visit with oral surgeon. I am somewhat new to the area and selected Lanier Dental Partners due to the great reviews and location. When I got there, Nice waiting area and lots of front office people. Everyone was very nice. Was moved back to a dental chair. I am self pay / without insurance and they brought me a piece of paper to sign. right at 2,800 dollars for 1 tooth. Felt like thats a lot. I already have a lot in this with the extraction and oral surgery for the implant. Looked around the room and they have a poster for an in house annual plan for around 400. This would have saved 20 percent (not sure exactly) but I did the math and it would have saved more than it cost. I said OK - lets do the annual plan. It will save me more than it costs. I was then informed that it takes 24 hours for the annual plan to go into effect, so I couldn't sign up today and get the services today. I left kindof confused about the visit. the tooth seemed like a lot of money. Not being able to get the annual plan on day of treatment (seems like it is an In-House plan) I called my former dentist on my way home and verbally he told me worst case on implant would be 1,800 - 1,000 dollars less than Lanier Dental Partners. I ended up going to my former dentist. An hour away, but saved 1,000 out of pocket. Lanier Dental Partners seems like a very nice office and nice people, But maybe not a great choice if you are Self Pay.

I never have to wait in the waiting area long upon checking in, and once I'm in the chair things move swiftly and comfortably. Typically I only see him about twice a year, and luckily haven't had to go in for any major dental work or procedures. All of the assistants and hygienists that I have had have all been lovely and very accommodating. I think I usually see Lindsay, but Bria is also great. I have unreasonably large tonsils, so anytime I go in for a dental cleaning it can be a bit difficult for me to breathe. I find I have to take a lot of quick breaks for a breath or swallow. They are always so kind and offer to go as slow as needed. I also really appreciate when a hygienist isn't heavy handed when scraping and cleaning my teeth prior to polishing. The office is clean, and front desk staff is helpful and diligent when making future appointments. They always leave you with a new toothbrush, floss and toothpaste to take home with you which I always love to use when traveling. Thank you Grady Dental Care!
