I am changing my review of this company because I found the owner to be dishonest. The technician had given me a quote for repairing my heating and the owner called and told me it was the same price that I had been quoted. However, the owner changed the price. When I agreed, I told him that I would agree if it was the same price that I had been quoted. He lied and said that it was the same price. It wasn't! When they came to do the work the price had been changed, and he wrote on the work order that I had agreed to the price. He is wily and dishonest! After that day, the owner just showed up at my house without an appointment. The owner is not trustworthy, and I do not recommend this business! The Owner was dishonest again when he replied to my comments. The situation happened exactly as I reported above!

So imagine how much worse I felt when I went downstairs the next morning - only to discover that the entire downstairs was flooded. ARGH! I turned the unit off and scheduled an appointment with my regular A/C guy. He said he wouldn't be able to get out until this Saturday - but since the whether was so mild - and would be until Saturday - he recommended just shutting the unit off until then. No worries, right? So I turned it off. Only to discover yet another puddle of water overflowing into the family room again the next day. I figured I needed someone ASAP . . . so . . . I went on nextdoor.com and found a posting with several replies / recommendations - and Wade Heating was one of the posts with a glowing recommendation. I called about 5 minutes after 5pm - and left a message for the after hours team. A service technician called me back less than 20 minutes later and quickly put my mind at ease. He was kind, patient and courteous. He asked me several questions and took me a through a checklist of trouble-shooting tasks. He did not attempt to alarm me - like a less scrupulous person might have done - and explained to me why I might have been seeing the additional water a few hours later. He suggested that I give the office a call the next day - and I did. Great customer service so far!

I had one unit go out in Sept of 2017 and the other in 2019. I have spent well over $15,000 on two A/Cs and two furnaces. It was a rental unit so I went with the cheapest route. They kept calling me back to increase the price. How does a new A/C unit NOT fit an older furnace? It looks like you taped the two together anyway!!! Now it's 2020 and the house is being sold. The home inspector states the downstairs furnace doesn't work. I am 2 hours away and working so I call Wade heating and air. They come and put 2 AAA batteries in the thermostat and it works. Anthony there at Wade charged me $24.36 FOR 2 AAA batteries!!!! I understand the $79 service call charge but who do you think you are charging me $24.36 for 2 AAA batteries. I looked back on the 2 furnaces and air conditioners that I purchased and was way overcharged for those also. I will never use wade heating and air again. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere and save your money!

Best HVAC experience we've had in 30 years…read more Our upstairs unit stopped cooling and we called another local HVAC company out to look at it. Took their tech just 10 minutes to tell us we were low on freon due to a bad coil and we were looking at $3500 to replace. Guy never used a leak detector he just knew the leak was in the coil. I wanted a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money so I called J&R based on their 5 star Yelp rating and the things people were saying in their reviews. Joe showed up, immediately took the unit apart, and spent over an hour using a leak detector to try to locate the coolant leak. Couldn't find a leak. He ended up leaving the system pressurized with nitrogen over a weekend only to come back on Monday and find no pressure loss. No leak - no bad coil. The issue was the other guys (who've serviced our units for 2 yrs) had left the valve caps loose on the exterior unit. Joe's diligence and honesty saved us a lot of money and earned him a customer for life. Its really rare nowadays to find someone with this kind of ethics. Joe's a likeable guy, explains what he's doing and why, and isn't out there trying to run up the tab on the repair. You sometimes hear companies saying they'll treat you like family. Joe never said that and its not on their website or their marketing material but that's definitely how I felt I was treated - like family.
