We started with a backyard fence, and continued with the rest of the projects. The work mentioned took place from summer 2016 through December 2018. We are currently discussing another project with the company owner. All of the work is holding up and in good condition. The materials used and the workmanship are excellent. We had a front porch removed (approx.. 70 ft.) and new concrete footers and a PVC wood deck installed. Two sets of steps and aluminum railings all around the porch were included. In addition, railings for 2 other sets of steps in the front and back yards were installed. An 8 ft. chain link fence in the back of our property and a wooden gate to the driveway were installed. A front side gate was repaired and rehung with new wood supports. Also, a single exterior door and window leading to the front deck/porch was replaced with a French door, and the outdoor and indoor prep work and outside stucco work and painting of the wall were done. The door installation was done by the manufacturer, to maintain the warranty. Side exterior steps and railings from a kitchen door were removed and replaced. An interior cellar door and exterior steel cellar door were replaced with an interior steel door and a new exterior steel door. Concrete and brickwork as well as new wooden framing were part of the project. A leak in the chimney/roof was repaired after several roofers could not find the leak and we asked the owner of ProFence Deck to have a look.

My daughter, who lives in California, owns the condo that I live in here in Philly. The first smart thing my daughter was impressed with was the fact that he, unlike other male contractors of any kind, listened to what she wanted done. When he came to do the estimate, he also asked me and listened to my thoughts. This has always been a problem with contractors before--dealing with two women on opposite coasts. Sam easily merged the two visions into one. Once the work began Eduardo, Jean, Igor and Marlon were amazing. Everything, including the living room rug was covered with heavy, protective paper. Then the bathroom where the work was to be done had a plastic, zippered door cover placed to keep dust from drilling in the bathroom. Inside everything, including the washer/dryer were covered. But the piece de resistance is that at the end of every single day everything was wiped down and swept up, including the heavy paper covering the floor and everything in the bathroom had no dust when they left! They also removed all the trash daily. I have never seen a construction site so clean, and I have built a large house from the ground up with my husband plus built with Habitat for Humanity for 3 years. It was very close to looking as if nothing was going on here. At night I could use the bathroom to brush my teeth, etc. and walk through my tiny condo easily. The crew was here 4 days total instead of the 5 estimated and when they walked out the door, you could not tell they had ever been here, except for the beautiful and excellent work they did in my bath. It was more than just the door but the over hang as well. It had fell down and squirrels had made a home :( The gentleman that took the call gave the information to Jim. He is the father and the owner of the company. Jim called and set up a time to come look at the job. When he showed up, he felt like family. Coming in through the back of the house he looked at the work I wanted done. He sat down in my basement and told us what they would do, took pictures of the damage and dictated everything into a recorder about the whole process. We gave him a small deposit toward the job. He gave me a receipt. What I liked about Jim is he let me know what I needed and didn't need and was very upfront about the price. This company never stood us up. Came on time, did a great job. The door is beautiful as well. They even framed out and put up my old wrought iron screen door. They were even thoughtful enough to measure the peep hole to my height (I'm the shorty in the family). We also decided to let We Care do our roof. One of Jim's sons came out and video taped the roof. We looked at the tape and Jim went over the damage with us and gave us our options. WOW! It was nice to see the roof without climbing a ladder LOL! We decided on a 2 coat white Elastomeric Silicone roof because it helps keep the house cooler in the summer. They even treated the skylight. After it was all done they came back to my home and showed us the video of the completed roof and mailed us a copy of video. We Care is not the cheapest company I've come across. but they do quality work, respectful of your time, do follow up calls to make sure you are happy with their work and respectful of your property. This is so rare now adays! Then in 2023 we had a fire, and our GC brought in HIS floooring company. Disaster: the competition refinished all the upstairs floors + stairs; the first time, there were dust/flecks of grit (A/C turned on too soon?), AND the rug pads were put back down while floors were still tacky, sticking to the polyurethane. We needed the company to return and refinish the floors again. They skipped/forgot the stairs and MBR, and the job was FAR INFERIOR with blemishes, pooling, missed toe caps, and uneven patches. LEARNED LESSON: GO WITH THE BEST the FIRST TIME.

Each person who worked on our house demonstrated a dedication to quality, and whenever an issue arose, it was rapidly addressed and remedied. The workmanship is noteworthy.
