Founds myself with a flat rear tire on my motorcycle about 30 miles east of Quartzite, AZ on US10 around 4pm. Called AAA who connected me with a dispatcher (Eric I believe) from A Toe Truck. Long story short, I wanted to get to Goodyear, AZ (~70 miles) but the problem was they couldn't tow me beyond Tonopah. In order to get me to Goodyear they need to arrange and coordinate a 'relay' where another tow truck would meet us and they would transfer my bike to the new company who could tow me the rest of the way. Eric was MORE than communicative and answered my calls looking for updates and progress. After 3+ hours and they hadn't been able to arrange a relay it was pitch black, cold, and we (my buddy stayed with me) had a hard time seeing anything other than the non-stop whizzing of cars/semi's rolling past. Eric sent a truck as a 'safety tow' to get me to Quartzite to spend the night in a hotel so I was safe and they would work on arranging a relay tow first thing in the morning. Erick coordinated with AAA so I could have the safety tow and AAA would still allow my tow (~100 miles from Quartzite) under my AAA membership. Wanting to avoid the relay experience from the previous night I opted for a tow to the Harley-Davidson dealer in Yuma first thing the next morning. All in all I dealt with 2 dispatchers (Erick/Jasmine) and 2 drivers (Tyrone/Javier) and they were ALL courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and showed the utmost in patience and attitude to me and my buddy throughout the entire ordeal. While I'm disappointed with AAA and this whole 'relay' concept and that they couldn't authorize an exception to provide A Toe Truck compensation given the time/safety of the situation, as a two provider A Toe Truck is top notch! These people are crooks! I went through AAA for roadside assistance They had me go back and forth for an hour and asked for pics. I sent them. Michelle said they were very busy but that they can help me get my car unstuck for $850.00 One tire in soft sand right off of a paved road and they wanted $850 cash! They claimed AAA would not cover the service! LIES! I contacted AAA and had another tow company come out and they said this was super easy and it was not issue whatsoever! I am so thankful that there are still business owners with integrity! I will be filing formal complaints across all organizations against A TOE TRUCK! We made a bad turn in rare wet conditions in Quartzsite on Plomosa. Up to our rear axles in gooey mud. We tried local solutions w 2 jeeps and a class a to no avail. Austin got there very timely and his BIG tow truck did the job right away(20 min). Everyone at the campground was quite impressed. These folks are on point. The dispatcher was very professional..even taking the time to assure us everything would be handled and not to worry. They called out their wrecker "Big Blue" to pull our 12 ton RV out of some deep gravel.. two guys and a lady showed up and took care of business. All were personable and professional.. Check your AAA membership status for the right level of service that you will need if you break down on the road. I would give 0 stars if I could. All I can say is don't DO BUSINESS EVER EVER WITH THIS TOW COMPANY. They are greedy and disgusting in their pricing. I have aaa. The tow was free. Because I am an Auto Club member. But I had an empty 900 LB car trailer that need to go with the pickup tow. They want $12.00 per mile. It was about 30 miles. INSANE!! Then I asked if they would move the trailer about 50 yards to get it out of the gas pumps area. Their driver said for $75 I'll move it. Then he said we charge so much is because we have nice tow equipment. Lol. Save yourself aggravation don't use this company they are rip off artists. I had the most unexpected and stellar experience having my car towed yesterday from Quartzite, AZ to Palm Desert, CA. I lost my key fob at an earlier rest stop which I discovered when I tried to start my car at a subsequent rest stop in Quartzite. Apparently at the earlier rest stop, the key fob was lost outside my car but close enough to it that I was able to start the car...a keyless ignition is NOT always a great thing...and drive off. I called AAA which dispatched A Toe Truck to tow my car to a dealership in Blythe. I called the dealership and learned it did not service key fobs for Honda. At this point Javier with A Toe Truck arrived, I explained towing to Blythe was not an option. He called a Honda dealership in Yuma which could order a key fob to be delivered the next day necessitating an overnight stay in Yuma which was not an option I wanted to pursue. I finally decided to have my car towed to Palm Desert and I would pay the towing cost in excess of the 100 miles covered by AAA. That's when I expected things were back on track but "no", the gear shift could not be released to neutral and the steering column was locked. Eventually these issues were resolved but not without further delaying the loading of my car on the tow truck. Through all of this, Javier was the epitome of patience, he never once waivered in his determination to get me and my car safely home...and my 14 year old dog! It was unexpected and utterly amazing to encounter such kindness during incredibly frustrating circumstances. Javier went above and beyond in every way and is to be commended for his exceptional customer service and for getting a job done that I suspect others would have walked away from. read more
