They could not help me find a water leak in my basement when I called them out I told them to clean out a sink drain. They did everything but that cost me over $500 for nothing. The drain didn't even get done. When they left I found the leak. It was my water heater leaking behind the wall. He was there for one hour. And fixed nothing what a waste of money read more

Frozen Air Conditioning Unit: Please choose lowest reviews and read all of them. We all say the exact same thing. This company is taking advantage of so many. When will it stop? I called them for a frozen air conditioner. Chris, our technician fixed the issue by replacing the capacitor.. After he left and we paid the bill of $450, a good friend who is in heating and cooling came over for a visit. I told him the issue we had and how great Chris was in fixing it. Come to find out the expensive part replaced by Chris has zero to do with what the issue is. Our friend checked the system and gave us an estimate to fix it. Chris's quote if replacing the capacitor didn't work, which he knew wasn't going to work - an additional$2,000. Our friend's quote for the same work? $200. Our friend also advised us to leave our google review through Google instead of the link texted to us as A to Z controls those reviews and can easily delete a bad review. Learned so much that day, although the lesson was expensive. They have lots of raving reviews. Only issue is, none of us calling them truly know how to fix whatever problem they come to fix, so we are very satisfied. I know I was, until I found out Chris replaced a part that was not broken. I'm just disappointed that they took advantage of us, as we are on a limited income and up there in age. Consider another company other than A to Z as you will be at their mercy of "finding" lots of stuff wrong. This tech went so far as to tell us a whole list of things in our house that needed fixed right away. That's when I got suspicious and just said we would consider it. We had a developing emergency recently and called early in the morning. Geoff was at our house at 9am to assess and fix the issue. This could have been a disaster. Had to get a gas line run for our gas range, Jacob and Joe came out and were wonderful! They explained everything that needed to be done and the why's behind it. Well things have changed despite loyalty. What happened? No one can explain their charges and lack of work.

We are a small apartment complex in Youngstown and in the past have used A to Z with satisfactory results. However, in early May, 2024, we asked for a bid on replacing a common, electric 40 gallon water heater in an apartment and their prices were ridiculous. In the past a bid/visit was $85, however, this time they wanted $125 just for the bid, an increase of over 50%. Second, the price for replacement of the hot water heater was $1500, 3 times the cost of the heater or approximately $1000 for 1/2 day's work. We ended up going with someone else and they replaced it for a total of $950. Won't use them again, they've gouged us for the last time. Bummer for them because we could have been giving them a lot of work over the next few years. read more

These guys dropped the ball several times. Finally they arrive and spend 90min (10min smoke break) fixing something pretty basic. Bill was $1,750. But they were giving me $500 off so only $1,250. Obviously I wasn't paying that and it got down to just over $500. Needed some language changed on the invoice for realtor and they won't call me back. read more

Highly disappointed in this company. I hired them fir 3 jobs and they botched all of them. I hired them to fix my dripping faucet in my bathtub, tgey ended up breaking pieces and made it a two day job and then charged me extra for their mistakes at the same time had them fux my leaking toilet wjere tgey broke the return hose so my toilet didnt fill up in the bowl and had to pay someone else to fix their mistake. Then they replaced my sump pump which lasted 14 months had a 3 year warranty which they will not honor bevause i had someone else replace it. Well clearly after 3 botched jobs im not having them back here and they price gouge. They wanted $600 to swap out a toilet. I bought a toilet for $110 and someone else installed it for $90. $200 job they tried to get $600 for!!! Dont use this company!! read more

I was very impressed with this whole process. The plumber showed up within the time window (with services this doesn't always happen!) He explained everything he was going to do (disposal replacement) and went over a cost analysis and options, which I got to approve before he did anything. He worked efficiently and then took the time to make sure everything worked and nothing leaked. Would recommend! read more

I called A to Z to have a quote for fixing my broken sewer line. They gave a reasonable quote for fixing the basement and would follow up with a quote for the outside. Mike Hillard and Nicholas Kowal were the two professionals that A to Z sent out to fix my broken sewer line in the basement. Mike was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He was the one I had the most contact with. Mike has 25 years experience and it shows. Mike and his team realized that the basement wasnt what was my real problem was. So instead of doing what was in the quote which wouldnt fix my problem completely, he set out to fix the problem completely while still staying within the quote price. He was able to fix the basement as well as fix the crushed pipe outside in the devil strip for the original quote amount. The whole process took only a day and half. They used all the proper materials and left the area cleaned. I am completely happy with the service that A to Z provided and would recommend them especially Mike Hillard. read more

We have used A to Z plumbing since we bought our home in 2013. They have been out several times for preventative main drain snaking as the property had a lot of trees. They replaced our hot water heater on Christmas Eve with no extra charges. They are always on time and professional. Highly recommend. read more

Had to have them return due to a toilet installation that was done incorrectly by an apprentice that is no longer employed there (!) The young man that came to do the work was very professional, outlined what the charges could be and set about reinstalling the toilet. He took his time, making sure everything was to my satisfaction. He cleaned up the areas he worked in and supplied me with a thorough explanation of what was done.
