This shop reminds me of the Cash and Carry store in Leicester. I'm not someone who is a regular…read moreshopper but there are plenty of useful items people may want to purchase. From saris to god statues to kitchen utensils, these are some of the things you will find at Milans. Although there are some nice saris on sale, I'm not entirely sure whether future brides would buy saris from here. There are other shops on Soho Road that offer more in the way of bridal saris. And to be honest you will find better bridal saris elsewhere. Having said that the saris at Milans are good but not excellent and you might want to buy some saris from here anyway. That's just my view. I did like the god statues and I am into them. The majority are Hindu gods and they are well priced. I haven't actually brought any statues but I might just return here to do so. The shop is pretty clean as you would expect it to be and I may well come back to Milans in the near future.

They sell a good and varied selection of Asian clothing in here, and is the ideal visit if your shopping on Soho Rd. Everyone knows about this place and they have decent and reasonable prices. Over the years my family, especially my mother, have spent a small fortune in here buying Saree's and accessories that come in the most delightful of colours and fashions. It's nice how they've branched out to also include shawls, kitchenware, fashion accessories such as bindis, and items that you may need for religious worship. Overall a delightful store. Good prices, and they'll be surely missed if they were to ever leave.

Walking into the shop, I was immediately put off by the loud chart dance music that was booming out of the doorway, and felt straight away that this place wasn't going to be my cup of tea. The shop itself is very sleek and shiny, whereas I prefer clothes shops to feel a bit more rugged and artistic. (just my personal preference.) The fashion and style of menswear sold in here is probably perfect for lovers of suits, shirts and suave ties, but for me, it felt more like I was mooching through the range of clothes at M&S or River Island. I was looking for something different or unusual, to stand out from the norm, and I expected an independent shop to stock more unique items of clothing; But unfortunately for me, it did not. For lads into high priced, fashionable shirts and brands such as Paolo Vandini, this shop is definitely for them. But for me, Resonate is a little too expensive and little too far away from my pallet.

After trailing around the shops in Birmingham, it became apparent that shopping for a suitable yet stylish outfit for a Godmother to be was not going to be an easy task with such short notice. Too small, too big, not smart enough, the list goes on! It was coming to the end of the day and we needed to buy an outfit. We opted for a skirt suit, the skirt fitted perfectly but the jacket didn't look as fitted as it could. We found Karlus' website online and made an appointment. He was really helpful and made my mum feel at ease. His attention to detail was perfect and my mum looked great on the photos. We have a wedding coming up and will definitely be using him again in the future.

He s recently moved to a swanky new studio on Vyse st above a jewellery shop. I usually make a trip with some random vintage dress I've bought that doesn't fit or occasionally with my favourite pieces that are now too big for me ( I've been shrinking a bit recently). Karlus listens intently to what I need and always delivers the dress improvements to deadline, sometimes staying late so I can pop in on my way home from work. He tailored a beautiful vintage suit that my other half found in a vintage barn and it now fits him perfectly...not bad for £30 charge. I couldn't recommend him enough and he ll be tailoring the other halves wedding suit and my mum s dress for our summer wedding!

The result was a jacket so distorted that it was unwearable. I took the jacket to another tailor, who is highly reputable, for recovery of this poor work and who said, "It's the worst tailoring job I have ever seen...the tailor who has tried to repair your jacket has actually destroyed it." I spoke to the Mr Marquez on the phone, but he was "too busy" to have a conversation. I wrote to him, but he did not respond. I returned to the shop and spoke to him where he denied any damage had been done, stated emphatically that the jacket was wearable and said, "It's just a jacket, nobody has died." He finally admitted he had not done the work himself, nor had he seen the final work as he had delegated this to an assistant. Is this a quality and professional service? I'll paint the scene, there is a family wedding in a months time and a friend of mine suggests heading to Clements & Church to check out the suits there, because unknowingly to me, they are pretty big in the game of suits etc. Despite knowing little about the place and naively doing NO research on the place I headed on into town and found the store. On first impressions the exterior failed to jump out at me as I nearly missed the store.... twice. But never the less I walked on in and realised straight away that this place WAS NOT for me. The first shirt I checked out was almost £200 and it was downhill from there. Regardless of the prices, the gentleman in the store was extremely helpful and pleasant, although I'm fairly sure he knew I was in the wrong place as well. For a young student looking to get a suit for future job interviews and the occasional wedding, Clements & Church was evidently not for me.
