From saris to god statues to kitchen utensils, these are some of the things you will find at Milans. Although there are some nice saris on sale, I'm not entirely sure whether future brides would buy saris from here. There are other shops on Soho Road that offer more in the way of bridal saris. And to be honest you will find better bridal saris elsewhere. Having said that the saris at Milans are good but not excellent and you might want to buy some saris from here anyway. That's just my view. I did like the god statues and I am into them. The majority are Hindu gods and they are well priced. I haven't actually brought any statues but I might just return here to do so. The shop is pretty clean as you would expect it to be and I may well come back to Milans in the near future.

They sell a good and varied selection of Asian clothing in here, and is the ideal visit if your shopping on Soho Rd. Everyone knows about this place and they have decent and reasonable prices. Over the years my family, especially my mother, have spent a small fortune in here buying Saree's and accessories that come in the most delightful of colours and fashions. It's nice how they've branched out to also include shawls, kitchenware, fashion accessories such as bindis, and items that you may need for religious worship. Overall a delightful store. Good prices, and they'll be surely missed if they were to ever leave.

Popular, and occasionally you will find a great sale on, they also have some nice outfits for men. Certainly take friends and family with you on your visit here. Whatever colours you prefer they sell. I like how they speak lots of languages, and it's more convenient for my mothers generation who knows that she trusts what they're saying about their garments when she can speak to them in her own language. I'd recommend visiting the store, car parking is available nearby, and the shop is served with bus routes regularly from the city and West Bromwich. Quite busy on the weekends though.

Despite the fact I have not brought anything from here, I have tried one or two sherwanis from Mairs. Just wearing them felt good and the only thing that prevented me from buying them was price. I did ask if they could reduce the price by a small amount but they couldn't. What I will say is that the staff here are very friendly and will help you if you need it. They will happily answer your questions and offer you advice. I did find some sherwanis had way too much embroidery but I guess there are Asians out there that like Indian suits with plenty of sequins/embroidery. If Mairs did lower their prices then maybe I would buy a sherwani from here. As well as Menswear, there are Asian Ladieswear on sale here as well.

I was pleased to find they sell clothes for ladies aged twenty to forty who have modern lifestyles. I have a keen interest in fashion and after seeing their collections a few times I can see they keep their trends up-to-date. I found out that they spend eighteen weeks every year buying clothing for niche collections and these clothes aren't available online or in department stores. So you can get an individual look, isn't that great? Like I said earlier I avoid places like this because of their high prices and even when this shop had a sale on the prices were still way out of my budget! This is definitely a shop for women who can splash some cash. However, the shop offered a nice and friendly atmosphere and customer service. If I could afford to shop here I would.

If I recall correctly, it has 5 levels, and there's even a Disney Cafe, Polaroid Selfie Studio, and I think I saw a nail studio for the ladies. With all that being said, it represents the country's 2nd largest city very well (next to #1 London)! This area of Birmingham is super busy, with a lot of hustling and bustling, just like you'd see in NYC (which is on my bucket list, btw). The prices at Primark are super generous compared to US prices. It's compared to Old Navy, but to me, I think it's more reminiscent of H&M. I found some good loot at all of the locations I went to, but this one will always stand out to me. It's insanely busy on weekends, especially during the holidays, but the staff works hard to keep the lines moving. I do wish customers wouldn't be so rude and make an effort to put back whatever they pick up. I saw a lot of dropped items on the ground, lots of clothing and accessories and even picked up a few to put back. The workers do their best to fold the clothes and make them look presentable, but I feel bad that people rummage through and just toss them wherever (at least make an attempt, sheesh!). You may not want to come during busy season, which is weekends during the holidays. It's a hot mess and you might lose your party along the way if you separate, but if you like the deals here and don't mind fighting crowds, come shop til you drop! I hope to return again one day! =)

Bullring, Birmingham…read more With that being said, I only shop at Zara during the seasonal sale event, which is my favorite time of the year to shop at Zara, because they make huge reductions. The first week of the sale is really not the best deal, try to go after the second or third week of the sale, you will find things that will be discounted a lot from the retail price. Also, try their online shop as well if you already know your Zara size. they have an awesome deals all year round. Zara's style is very European chic and there are different styles that are perfect for both work, play and party. The clothing is typically well-fitted, structured and stylish. Price wise it is moderate, but definitely match up to the quality of the clothing. I have several pieces from Zara that have lasted me a few years! As long as you follow the care label, the clothes here should definitely last you a good while.

It's the usual white interior as expected in Zara. There are fitting rooms on each floor but they aren't always open. At least they are all in good condition given the recent over haul of this shop. Zara has the European feel when it comes to its designs. This also affects their sizing. Some items are sold as small/medium/large not by numerical size, and each collection varies slightly. So I would recommend trying things on before buying. This store sells shoes, accessories etc but not in a dedicated section. Everything is displayed in sections based on collections. So when I go in looking for a specific item, I find it quicker to ask someone than to trawl every shelf in all the nooks by the clothing stands. Generally I have happy experiences in Zara, but service on the till points can be very slow. Worth noting if you're in a rush. This store has good air conditioning. So no stuffy, humid changing areas that make me want to leave asap. Thank goodness.

'Sorry, you can't have it now, you have to come back at 5.30pm' (It was 11:30am). After a lengthy discussion as to why we were unable to buy it and why is it on display if you are not selling? we left. I decided to ask about it 15 mins later. I get the same response except now the dress is £6.99. My friend went for a 3rd time that day, an pleaded with the woman for the dress, she offered the woman TRIPLE the price and said we will take it off the mannequin ourselves if you're shortstaffed. Woman then said, 'come back at 11am TOMORROW and you can have it'. Frustrated, we left. Next morning, dead on 11am we were out the door. Low and behold the dress was gone, the doors were locked, the shop was shut. We banged on the window and eventually someone came down, rolled her eyes and said .. 'yeah we sold that at 5.30pm yesterday'. Tell you what, love. Next time you want to hold an item for a member of staff (as clearly that's why you refused to let us have it), don't leave it in the window on display. Appalling service, terrible attitude. Would NOT recommend.
