I scheduled an appointment with Viola and she literally saved my nails. I came in nervous because the last nail salon experience left me literally in tears. A little dramatic? Maybe, but I rarely spend money on myself and they charged me $170 for the worst French manicure I've ever had. I looked at the reviews for Astudio and between the photos and violas name being recommended, I scheduled and just hoped for the best. I have been using press ons for over a year now and they just have destroyed my cuticles and nail beds. Viola was sweet, attentive, and very gentle throughout the whole process. She always checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and happy with each step along the way. Beyond satisfied with my overall experience and nails. Already scheduled with Viola at Astudio in 3 weeks and am so happy I finally found a salon that I will continue to return to. Impressive attention to detail, very clean and super friendly staff. I made an appointment online, showed them a photo of what I wanted and was very impressed by their technique. The result, beautiful detail as requested. My nails were pretty short but they made them work. Viola did my Russian manicure with an asymmetric French tip, and Yasmin did one incredible Russian pedicure! I I had my first Russian pedicure today and honestly, I didn't really know what to expect. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. The appointment was an hour long and mostly consisted of filing my nails more than necessary, a little lotion, and some sanding on the bottom of my feet. For $80, I feel like I would have gotten more value with a regular pedicure. I think I'll stick with a traditional pedicure next time. read more

It's a Russian style salon so the pedicures are waterless. The techs wear masks when filing and they keep a little vacuum on which I appreciate. My nails look great every time I visit! Second time here and I still don't know if I love or hate this place lol Pros : -dry pedi leaves my feet so smooth and my hand and feet have never felt so clean. - they are very detailed and take their time - as long as you have an appointment , they will start on time unlike other places. Cons: -if you're new, you will need to pay a $40 non refundable deposit - if you want your mani and pedi done at the same time it's $10 extra , better to pay or else you're looking at a 3-4 hour appointment. - if you want an "advanced tech" it's $10 extra - if you want a French it's $20 extra (not all techs can do a French , which I find it weird as it's a classic design ) - if you want crazy designs this place is probably not for you - the chairs are not as comfortable and you may be in awkward positions, so you may need some flexibility. - as previously mentioned, it's a dry pedi , so no water or massage chairs if that's what you're into. - A little pricier than most places but you get what you pay I guess ? It just adds up with all the add ons. read more

My problem with places that try to be modern is when they don't meet their standards. I came in as a first time client doing dry pedicure. There is no way a dry pedicure is faster than a "normal" pedicure. I arrived at 2:20 by 2:57 the lady was starting to paint my toes? She didn't bother to clean the bottom of the toe nail. I stopped her and made sure I wasn't tripping. I dug underneath my toe with my own nail and sure enough was able to get gunk out. Not worth it! read more

In this economy every penny counts so I wanted to leave an honest review. I went in for a gel manicure expecting my cuticles and nails to be cleaned. My cuticles were pushed back with a wooden pusher with no cuticle softener and nails barely filed with no buffing. For $50 I honestly expected more or at least a clean nail polish application but as you can see in the photos the nail polish is bleeding over and she didn't even clean it off so I dont think this manicure was worth it. read more

So i came in for a soak of, expecting for you know them to file lightly and soak off the acrylic nail..but instead they drilled off all of my acrylic nails until it got to my nail bed. As soon as i realized the girl was just rushing and wanted me out. She really damaged my natural nails and when i was done i realized they were pink spots on my nail bed (that's usually when they drill too much of the natural nails). Definitely wouldn't recommend now my nails hurts and are super sensitive! I would have thought their goal is so keep the nail bed healthy and not damaged but did the complete opposite of that. read more

First time getting my nails done here & my last! I got a regular gel manicure & pedicure & as others have mentioned, they do the bare minimum for regular gel. My finger nail lengths are completely uneven & the gel is bumpy. It's day 3 & the gel is peeling off already. Now for my pedicure, wow I've never had such horrible job done in my whole existence! The nail polish was on my skin -she didn't clean it off, no cleaning of my cuticles, or buffing done. It was literally just a nail polish application- so save yourself time & money & do it yourself. She also pushed the Russian manicure & pedicure so it seems to me they will only do a good job if you get that service.
