Native New Yorker, of course I loved it being set in the city with Broadway as the theme. Note that it is above the bridal shop and there is a long staircase to the theater and no elevator. They do have a chair lift if you need assistance getting up stairs. A couple blocks from the Long Island Railroad. Street parking. Small waiting room upstairs. 6 long rows with no bad seat in the house. The stage spans the whole room and row of seats. Oddly enough the concessions stand for this performance was on the stage. It was sudo a part of the scene -- NYC cafe. The artistic director came up and shared about behind the scenes story for the next performance coming to the theater. He explained the concessions, introduced a few folks. And the show began... Let's just say it was a unique beginning. For an amateur theater, the cast was pretty good. And this show was a pretty funny play. All in all, I'd come back and recommend you try a show here once.

My son had played piano since he was five, but he completely quit after growing disheartened by a lack of inspiration and empathy from his previous piano teacher in Brooklyn. He tentatively agreed to try drums, and now he absolutely LOVES it. He literally runs from the bus to his lesson each week. Chris has not only taught him the fundamentals but has also encouraged him to bring his favorite music into their sessions. Chris is caring, patient, and a musical force himself. I love sneaking in to observe the two of them at work--it's pure joy to witness. We are so grateful.

My son was with his dad that night so we loaded up his drums in my car after I got out of work got to prohibition and set up for the show. The food we had was pretty good. We got a half pepperoni, half cheese half sized pizza and mozzarella sticks. The venue itself is a little bit smaller for live music. But when the weather is good they have a window with barrel tables and seats so you can sit outside to hear the musicians play. I was alternating between being outside and inside. My boyfriend's mom who I love came to the gig as well so I was spending time with her outside and time inside dancing and checking out the band. The bar is pretty big and they have one more area after you pass the bathrooms with some tables for hanging out. I liked the feel of prohibition besides the space being somewhat small and the food was good. I can't say anything about the alcohol although I'm guessing except for specialty cocktails it's probably the same as anywhere else. I've been sober for over 2 years now so if I'm at a bar it's for music and food.
