My friendly estate agent took me to see a few flats in East London when I had just moving to town. The first few places I saw were horrendous: moldy ceilings, warped floors, dirty, dingy, awful flats. One by one the selection started getting better but there was always something wrong. Finally, I found a place I loved. I worked with Sean and Rosie to make an offer and negotiate a speedy move-in. Their communication was always very good and I knew where the deal stood at all times... unlike with some other agents in London. While I don't wish a London housing search on anyone, if you must go through this painful process, Square Mile will help get your deal done.

Sometimes a few turns away. Had art in the actual space, but it is a nice space and I see why people like going there and using it. Very much about being apart of the community with them.

Both bedrooms were good size. Living room was large with 3 two-seater couches. Dinning area had a large table with 4 chairs. Kitchen was very large with an additional table for 4. Memory foam mattress: this was quite a nice surprise. I don't know if this is standard or just the unit I happen to be in. I slept like a baby. The wifi was fast and free. The bad: A bit dingy and not well maintained. It was suitable for me and I would stay here again due to convenience to my office, but the cleanliness and upkeep is what you'd expect at the TraveLodge down the street. Check in was a bit informal. There was no verification of my ID. The office was cluttered and unorganized. The staff were very friendly. The hallways were quite dark. Some might feel unsafe in such conditions. The power went out while I was here. There was no notice from the management. After an hour or so, I wandered downstairs (I happen to have a flashlight in my backpack from a previous trip). I found the office staff downstairs handing out candles and matches. Apparently power was shut off on the whole block due to some emergency repair down the street. I would have appreciated the management being pro-active and notifying me rather than me having to go downstairs. I am not taking any stars off for this but it appears overall management is a bit haphazard.

The engineer that come out was lovely. The two stars are for the engineer only, the company gets 0…read morestars. He was in and out in less than an hour. He left us with the invoice which shocked me once I had reviewed it. We were charged for 2 hours of an engineers time, plus VAT, plus parking. I phoned the Angel Plumbing. I explained that the engineer was at our premises for 30-45 minutes therefore 1 hour and 15 minutes is unaccounted for. The owner of the company threatened to take us to court, had a very foul mouth and wanted to speak with the director because I'm just 'a silly bird sitting in an office'. I have never experienced anything like it. The call ended with him threatening to come to my office. I was shocked. He did phone back later to apologise, however I do not expect this type of behaviour from somebody that calls them self a professional. The engineer kindly took his time to come back to our office and explain that although he was here for less than an hour, because the time it took for him to walk to and from his vehicle made the time go over 1 hour, meaning we was charge for 2 hours of his time, plus parking fees. This to me didn't make sense, I would have thought we would be charge 1 hour time plus parking. There is a car park across the road from us which he decided not to use for some reason. Should he have used the car park opposite, we would have been charged almost half the overall cost.
