Have asked them to provide receipts of materials as I know they are vastly over priced - they have refused so far. The engineer that come out was lovely. The two stars are for the engineer only, the company gets 0 stars. He was in and out in less than an hour. He left us with the invoice which shocked me once I had reviewed it. We were charged for 2 hours of an engineers time, plus VAT, plus parking. I phoned the Angel Plumbing. I explained that the engineer was at our premises for 30-45 minutes therefore 1 hour and 15 minutes is unaccounted for. The owner of the company threatened to take us to court, had a very foul mouth and wanted to speak with the director because I'm just 'a silly bird sitting in an office'. I have never experienced anything like it. The call ended with him threatening to come to my office. I was shocked. He did phone back later to apologise, however I do not expect this type of behaviour from somebody that calls them self a professional. The engineer kindly took his time to come back to our office and explain that although he was here for less than an hour, because the time it took for him to walk to and from his vehicle made the time go over 1 hour, meaning we was charge for 2 hours of his time, plus parking fees. This to me didn't make sense, I would have thought we would be charge 1 hour time plus parking. There is a car park across the road from us which he decided not to use for some reason. Should he have used the car park opposite, we would have been charged almost half the overall cost. read more

Alright, bit of an odd one, I'm not suggesting that you'll want to go out for the evening to Angel Plumbers, but anyone who has had any cause to call a tradesman out in London will know trying to find someone who will turn up when they say they will, will finish the job before they go off to 'get a part' for the next week and don't charge the earth, will know unless it's your mate who is doing the work it is a mine field out there. Angel plumbers are not the cheapest - but are far from the most expensive. They are really good value for money are reliable, honest and get the job done. So if you've sprung a leak give them a try! Terrible experience. The "engineer" couldn't help me and, initially, decided not to charge. Three months later I received an invoice for 100 pounds. Upon contacting the manager of the company I was met with aggression and the threat of a lawsuit. To reiterate, the plumber was at my home for a total of thirty seconds before deciding the job was not possible. Feels like a scam. read more

Called them a few years ago to have a timer fit on my heater when I moved in my new flat. The guy on the phone said this should not be required because I must already have one, so I had to insist that it wasn't working and that I wanted one installed. The tradesman came without a timer or tools, he opened my cupboard and tried to get the old timer to work. He spent some time with google on my ipad and still could not help. So he had to go to his office (1h) to get a timer and come and install it (5 minutes job). I was billed for 2.5 hours labor (ie including the time to go get the timer and the time trying to google the notice for my non working timer) and for parking (I live 5 mins away from their office). read more

I cannot stress enough how bad this company is and what a cowboy outfit they are, 7 times for a couple of small jobs they not only didnt even show up after me waiting in all day they dont even give you the courtesy of a phone call and if you dare ring them and try and explain you are disabled and cant just wait in day after day when you have hospital appointments they get really rude and make you wait longer. We have to use them where I live as they are contracted to the block (tho us residents are putting a stop to that with a petition signed by 90% of residents to get them out). When finally they did arrive both jobs was done so poorly that they had to be called back several times to repair more damage they caused including flooding womans bathroom below me. Avoid this outfit like the plague and anyone who like me has had similar problems I urge you to go to trading standards or ombudsman like I have. I sent an installation document to these guys and then booked them in for a fitting. They were recommended from the DIY store. The guy came round and read the booklet and said he could't do it which is fair enough but NO the cost for 1 hour £70! Sitting in my chair reading a booklet. My job is also a self employed one and if after the first hour I can't help them there is no charge as, quite simply, I couldn't help them. read more
