This is the worst black owned business I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing and I hate that for our community. We are supposed to be uplifting our people and outshining these other businesses, yet this place severely lacks professionalism, integrity, organization and respect. I have been trying to get medical records for my child for MONTHS and have been ignored and given the runaround to the point I had to get an attorney! Front desk never answers the phone nor checks vmails and the one time the phone was answered and I asked my questions I was told they were currently in an AUDIT and that's why everything is so hectic so I'm guessing their billers don't know what they're doing so their people aren't getting paid or they're frauds and when I was transferred to the billing manager for records she was the RUDEST nastiest and most unprofessional person I've ever come in contact with to the point I can't believe she's allowed to stay employed there! I could never be the one in charge because I would be ASHAMED to be associated with a person like that, let alone allow them to make me look bad with how they treat clients. This "business" also has no online presence regarding paperwork filing or record keeping and everything is in manilla folders as if it's 1998 so I imagine that's why I can't get my records because they're probably in a moldy basement piled up to the ceiling in a stack from the 80s. This is supposed to be a mental health facility but all this company does is stress you out even more than before you got there. If I could give negative stars I'd give -10. read more

I was hesitant about going to a therapist for mental health because of the stigma society places on you. However, once I entered into the building I felt that I made the right decision. The staff was very warm and welcoming. My sessions have been very helpful and are helping me make necessary adjustments in my life. 2 thumbs up! read more

The front office staff were very unorganized and non-professional. It was like jumping through hoops just to set an appointment and their communication amongst each other was terrible! I previously recommended 2 friends to this place but after my last experience I told them to never to use the number. read more

I have been a patient for over 4 years now. I will say, finding the right therapist can take some time. I believe that my experience here has been an experience. The office has been through many front desk receptionist, however, they are very aware of finding the right people to run it. This office is an evolving mental health business. Counseling is not an easy job and I recognize that it may take some time to understand the relationship between you and a therapist but it's worth investing. I have called several times and left messages with 3 counselors in this organization to try and make an appointment and still have yet to receive a return call. I got their information from my insurance web page and was looking for grief counseling after losing my mom. No matter what time of day they never answer the phone! As I try to keep things together therapy is a must for me during these time. A Sound Mind Counseling is top notch for me. I am glad I chose this place. Confused The overall concept of therapy is to help the patient, right? The counselor I saw talked more about herself and had an alarm that went of a few times to let her know when nearing the end of the sessions. This was distracting for her and, therefor, equally so for me. I get talked over and treated as less important for free by the people I care about. Not going to pay to have it done. Hopefully it was just that one counselor and you will have better luck. read more

Love this place....was having some issues with my teenager and the counselor that I saw gave me pointers and tools to have a better communication with her and slowly we are working on our relationship. Thank you for all the help. read more
