We stayed at this B&B while in Haines for 4 nights. The location is about a mile to town. It is very close to Fort Seward (5 minute walk to shops & some restaurants). We had the #2 bedroom which had the best view of the harbor. We can see the cruise ship come in on Weds. The master bedroom also has the same view but is a lot larger & more private. Our room is not very large but has its own bath, TV, clean & comfortable bed. The room looks out to the balcony which is accessible to everyone so you have to keep your drapes drawn when other guests are out there. It is also the designated smoking area. It was not a problem for us since no one was out there while we were in the room. The rooms are on the third floor so you may have trouble getting up there with your luggage. There is coffee & tea, microwave & small refrigerator in the hallway. Since the owners live downstairs, you don't have access to the living room so you are confined to your room only. That's also not a problem for us. The best part of this place is the amazing breakfasts. Laura cooks us breakfast everyday in her dining room. She always makes fresh pancakes, muffins, sausages or ham. She even gives us some muffins to take with us to snack on during the day. Everything you may want for breakfast is there (toasts, bagels, fruits, yogurt, cereal). Also, there are a couple of hummingbird feeders on the balcony so you can watch them feeding while you're eating your breakfast. If you plan on staying for several days, you may even get a discount on the room. We loved our stay there & wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when I'm in Haines. Thanks, Laura for our wonderful stay in Haines! read more
