Both of the massage therapists I've seen have been very careful, asking me what pressure I desired and staying away from areas on my body I asked them to avoid (specifically, a very painful heel). Their English is quite limited but the two therapists I've seen had little hand held translation devices so they were able to communicate. I got a 90-minute full body massage with oil and both times hot stones were included. I'm sure that reservations are preferred but both times I just walked in. They offer a wide variety of services including chair massage, full body, and reflexology for 30, 60, or 90 minutes. The chair massages are kind of "out in the open" but the full massage rooms are private--either fully private rooms with doors or little cubbies surrounded by curtains. Best Massage Ever!!…read more First off, I was extremely nervous for my appointment. I've hated every massage I've had, and finally just decided I would never have another; and I wasn't really missing anything that great anyway. I'm not the kind or person that is totally comfortable with the idea of lying there, pretty much naked, while a total stranger touches every inch of your body. But...my experience with Crystal was different. When I stepped into the door of her cute little suite, I immediately felt relaxed and at ease. It smelled amazing, and was extremely clean. Crystal greeted me with a huge smile, and right away I felt like we had been friends for years. We talked a while about my health issues, and what my expectations were. I explained to her that I was very anxious and not looking forward to the "naked" part, and that I am also very afraid of the pain I usually feel when having any type of massage on my back; especially around the surgical area. Crystal was very empathetic, and insured me that I was in great hands. She never made me feel uncomfortable, in fact she made me feel totally at ease-and by the end of my session I was wishing I had booked the 2hr massage instead! I never noticed her tiring or losing stamina, and she communicated with me constantly. I have Fibromyalgia and have had 5 back surgeries, I am constantly in pain and exhausted. Crystal knew just the type of massage my body needed-not to soft, not too deep. She knew the exact techniques to use, and communicated with me along the way to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain, and that I stayed completely relaxed. I've always been very sore after a massage, and I wasn't sore at all. In fact I felt AMAZING for about a week after. Crystal listens to your wants and needs, and she delivers!

I have been a massage therapist for about 2-3 years. I can honestly say that this was the worst…read moremassage I have ever had. Yet I know certain people have different techniques to there massage which makes them unique dave, who was my massage therapist, had a technique that felt as if he was a new person first trying out massage for sport. I had received a "deep tissue" massage that after 45 minutes I had to get up to use the bathroom because it hurt so bad. Deep tissue( being my special talent) I knew Dave did not have a clue or know what he was doing during the massage and I LOVE deep tissue being very very deep. After finding out that he has been doing this for 10 years I was shocked because the massage was so bad. Nothing flowed or made sense, nothing transitioned from a smooth feeling into a deeper touch, he kept fiddling with the sheets and he kept going super fast over my "knots" which put my muscle into shock. For people who are new to deep touch it should feel as if you are being relaxed while having a deep touch. It should feel very slow and as if the "knots" are being melted away which might feel some pressure but surly nothing like I experienced today. I thought he would be better so I stuck it out which ended up being my mistake for I should have said something during the massage. I told the receptionist that the way we do it if someone does not like there massage we charge them half price which at first she was not willing to do because I never spoke up during the massage. She said that it was his technique which made me feel as if she was trying to justify his poor job of a massage. I asked him how many people liked his massage and he said he had a few regulars and a lot said it was ok. If it is just an ok job then that means you need to find a different technique and NOT be offended when someone actually tells you the truth. Anyone who is new to massage speak up and make sure the massage is to your liking because unfortunately if you don't know what to expect you might receive a bad massage and not even realize it. Sorry to be so brash but you pay good money for this and expect a great relaxing massage and when it isn't to your liking you get screwed over because you still have to pay.
