I had vertical lap siding…read moreat the time then at the top (side of the house) was horizontal. he said they could go over it with the Hardi plank. They subcontracted with someone else and I came home to find the top removed. he said he couldn't go over it (which roofers do all the time, , there was no rot either). Then the subcontractor wanted to charge me $1000 more. I was pissed. --On top of that, 15 years later I have nails coming out of the roof and soft spots.
