The menu includes a five course prix fixe menu for $115 per person. The ambiance was nice but I think they could modify the inside of the restaurant. It felt like I was dining in a conference room. However, every single staff member and the service here was 100% amazing-- they even offered me a cashmere scarf to borrow since I was cold. You don't get that kind of service anywhere! First course was started off with canapes served with buttery soup and their warm selection of breads with sea salt and butter on the side. There were also some light bites that were brought to us to salivate our palates, which included a bite-sized everything bagel and cream cheese, a small item topped with tobiko, and a bite sized salted caramel pastry. Second course, I had the Hamachi Crudo and my husband had the hand-cut beef tartare. The hamachi crudo was very fresh. The beef tartare blew me away. It was half cooked and mixed with truffle egg dressing. Ugh it was like a party of delicious flavors. The beef tartare was probably my favorite out of all the dishes! Third course, we had the seafood risotto. There was ample amounts of lobster, shrimp, and calamari in the dish. Only complaint was that there was some bits of lobster shells in the risotto but hey, that's how you know it is super fresh and it did not come straight from a can. Fourth course, I had the sea scallops and my husband had the filet mignon. Both dishes... amazingly good! The scallops had a perfect sear and tasted very fresh. The filet mignon was not chewy and cooked to perfection. There was a crispy layered potato served on the side that was also very flavorful of butter. Fifth course, I had the citrus panna cotta and my husband had the flourless chocolate cake. Both desserts was a nice cherry on top of our meal. Needless to say, this place was nothing short of amazing. My husband and I will definitely be 100% returning!

There is a main central area with tables and then pockets of enclaves along both sides. We were seated in one of those enclaves that had four tables for four and unfortunately a large round table in the center. I don't think it was because I'm getting old. I know I get easily annoyed by bad acoustics but this was another level of noise. There was a group of women celebrating a bride for her bachelorette. She made sure we all knew how special she was by screaming and screeching to get her friends' attention the entire night. A couple who were seated after us immediately moved. Yes we had a chance to do the same but we decided to stick it through because we thought they were almost done. Well they stayed until we were at our dessert course. So why 5 stars?? Because the service (and attention and acknowledgement) and the food were outstanding. Easily the best choice to celebrate our friend's birthday. Everything was delicious but what the chef does with white beans was especially incredible! Ending with the passion fruit trilogy was perfection!

We came here for a birthday and dont regret it at all. Everything was great about this restaurant…read morefrom the atmosphere to the food. Its a fine dining restaurant so the restaurant is really upscale but they also made the restaurant a bit cozy at the same time. The service was amazing as well. Im sorry I forgot his name but he paid really good attention and constantly checked on us especially for my allergies. The food was some of the most delicious food ive ever tasted, especially the risotto (10/10). There was one dish that my girlfriend didnt like but they went immediately to get her something new. Im only giving a 4 star because the dessert i had did have something I was allergic to despite reassurance which cause swollen lips and throwing up outside. Im not sure if the dessert was pre-made but having the allergens directly on the menu may help. Otherwise I completely recommend trying here.

The chef's tasting menu was stellar. Each course was timed perfectly. Service was excellent. The wine pairings were ideal. Luis did a great job as sommelier. I continue to highly recommend 1919!

There should be absolutely no reason why you should be at a restaurant for over two hours, unless…read moreyou're having an amazing freaking time. Despite how amazing of a time I was having with my wife celebrating my 35th birthday with my wife and some friends in Marea Bar before our reservation, sitting down at 1919 this time (after an amazing experience four years ago) was anything but. In two whole hours, we were served two courses of a four course prefix, with the wine pairings coming 25 minutes before each course was served, there was a lot to be desired. Upon asking what was going on, we were told that the kitchen was backed up out, however, the restaurant wasn't even half full. After another 30 minutes waiting for our third course, beef for her and duck for myself, it finally arrived, and the duck was impossible to cut through while the beef was just above room temperature. Upon talking to the manager, Bryan, we were dismissed as if we were unimportant and were told thank you for stopping by. He smiled slyly as if he knew that this happens often. It's clear that this is not a one night problem, but that this is a regular problem at this restaurant. You can tell by the other reviews that it's not that the kitchen had a bad night --they're having a bad year. So if you're staying at the hotel, the hotel is lovely. But if you're planning on dining at the hotel-- don't do it. With family in the restaurant space (including Michelin star holders) we expected a certain level of service, that was totally unmet by the staff and the fare at 1919.

We were brought chips and salsa to munch on while we perused the menu. The chips were stale and definitely not fresh. I liked the salsa, but just a heads up that it's a bit spicy. The food was great other than this. Three of our party had the Tri-Juana which was a taco, burrito, and enchilada. I was told the taco shell was stale, but it was otherwise good. Three of our party had soup (I didn't get any pictures), and they said it was really good. I had the Chicken Enchiladas with Mole Poblano sauce. I thought this was incredible. The flavor was rich, and the shredded chicken was cooked just right. It came with rice and refried beans which were also delicious. Most of us had margaritas as well. Their margarita menu is huge. I had the Caribbean Rita was refreshing and hit the spot perfectly. I would definitely have this one again. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was because even though our server was very friendly, the service was incredibly slow. We'd been there for 30 minutes before we even ordered our drinks and food. Our server was visibly busy managing many other tables. I imagine the other servers had been cut due to the time of day, but it was frustrating. (That and the stale chips). The ambiance was nice, and the location right inside the mall, close to the airport, was ideal. I would definitely go back, but I would want to try another time of day to see if the negative factors from today would be better.

Both the food and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere is really enjoyable. My only criticism is that the restroom was quite dirty. If they pay more attention to that, they definitely deserve 5 stars!
