If I could give a negative 5 stars on this company, I would... This company (Rafeal and A plus) installed the roof on my newly constructed house in 2014.
In 2018, we had a lot of snow and my house developed 3 leaks in the roof that I thought were caused by ice dams. The leaks were causing water to drip through the soffit vents and the soffit fascia seams in 3 different areas of the house. I called A plus and asked them to come take a look and see if they could conduct the repairs. They came quickly to assess the situation and said they would repair on another day... Then poof, they stopped responding to my calls and texts. I ended up going with another contractor (All Weather Roofing) that was referred to me by a friend. What this new roofing company found was the drip edge installed by A Plus did not meet the sheeting installed on the roof and thus water was running right into the soffits and the inside of one wall of my house. The repairs of the roof, soffits and stucco on the house exceeded 5k. Fast forward to April 2020, my house developed another leak in a "new" area that I noticed during a hard rain storm in April of 2020. Called the roofer who repaired it the last time and he found the same thing in this spot. The Drip edge did not meet the sheeting. I contacted A plus and told him of the results and they stated that the sheeting is not their issue and he installed the roof properly. I agree the sheeting isn't their responsibility, but how do you install a roof properly if you fail to secure the drip edge to the sheeting with nails and it leaks everywhere? There is so many failures to go around in this situation (A plus, My shady contractor and the inspector who missed this). This company clearly will slap a roof on your house and won't care if it's going to last as long as it passes an inspection. I just hope if you hire these guys, you ensure they don't do this to you too. read more
