I really like the reliability and careful approach they have to piano moving. This is the 3rd time they have done a piano move and they are all so nice, friendly and helpful. Our neighbors also used them and gas the same experience. Also, I saw another review below that was solely based on politics, and I don't think it's fair to base a review on someone's political beliefs (we are all entitled to our opinion) and basing a review on that and not on service or experience isn't right. read more

What a great team these guys are! They were fast, efficient, and very helpful! After they moved our piano in they offered to move our buffet table (not small at all -- antique, 6 ft wide, 2.5 ft deep, and very heavy) into our garage for us. They were on time and I received a phone call when they were heading to pick up the piano. I received several quotes and they were by far the most affordable. I would not recommend this company. I called Monday asking to schedule a move with no specific date in mind- I was open for when they could fit me in. They offered to come the next day mid morning at 10am. There was a snow storm expected in the afternoon, but they said it would be fine and they could do it so I said ok since that's when they were available. 10am came and went with no call or movers. When I called I was told to call a different number. When I contacted that number I was told they were at least two hours away. I explained that I had appointments at 1 and 2 pm and they said I should cancel them because they wouldn't be done until at least 2. They didn't even apologize... At 1 I still hadn't heard anything so I called back and the guy who answered the phone said "well what do you want from me, what do you expect me to do? We're still going to be there" and when I said I expected a call letting me know they'd be late and said an apology for being so late and telling me I had to cancel my appointments would have been appreciated he hung up on me. I'm disappointed and will be working with allegro piano movers instead who have been very professional. EDIT: The guy just called me back and told me I sound like the kind of person who can never pleased. I literally will never work with these people again. read more

I've had a lot of pianos moved over the years, and I would never recommend this company. First, the owner is unprofessional. He said he would let me know when he could move my piano, then didn't return my calls for over a week. He then texted me the night before he wanted to come and gave me a time, so I had to get the morning off from work at the last minute. Then had the guys who worked for him charge me 2x what he quoted me. It seemed like he was just making the number up as he went, since they have no standard fees or information. He said the amount he quoted me was just to come there, but it was actually going to be twice that to bring it to the new place, which seemed really on the fly to me, and I wouldn't have agreed to it or hired them - so much for the affordable and reasonable price. There was also damage to the piano- a big dent right in the front with the wood cut deep so I cannot repair it. They don't seem to be trained piano movers, basically they just have a big enough truck. Also super unprofessional to turn your business vehicle into a campaign truck for Donald Trump, the border wall and kicking out immigrants. I'm not talking about a campaign bumper sticker - completely, 100% plastered in offensive hate propaganda. (I think other people posted photos.) There isn't one good thing I can say. Unprofessional, unresponsive, communicates only by text at the very last minute and expects you to drop everything to accommodate him, damages the piano and rips you off. You can't not pay the new price when he's already got your piano in the truck so I had no choice since I wasn't told until the end. And the vehicle they use made me more than uncomfortable. Once they are done, they inform you that they only accept cash. So I then had to go and find an ATM and come back. Cash only, NO receipt or proof of payment or how much you had to pay them. The cash only and no receipt is a big red flag for me, and it's pretty likely unreported. There are plenty of reliable and professional piano movers around who won't wreck your instruments or rip you off. Hire someone else. I would never use them again. read more

I called Joe for a quote to remove our upright piano last night. I had been trying to give it away for 4 months and just wanted it gone. He gave me a great quote and was able to come pick it up today. The movers came promptly and effortlessly removed the piano from our home at an affordable price (and in the snow!) Fantastic! I hired Joe and his team to move a salon grand and they were excellent. They took a lot of care in removing the legs and laying it on its side. They even checked the bench before moving it to make sure there wasn't anything that would fall out and grabbed the piano casters without being asked. They made quick work while taking care to not damage anything . Once it came time to place it they kindly moved it to a few different places while I decided where was best to place it without any complaints. They even placed pads everywhere so even the ramps they built didnt scratch the floor. Very professional and efficient team. If you need piano movers these are the folks to hire. read more

I was told that my moving job would be done in a certain timeframe and it was not done. I have now paid for a used piano and am not able to have it moved to my house in time. The owner was not flexible re: rescheduling and was not apologetic or, frankly, very upfront with me about this job. Beware. read more

These guys did a great job for us; easy and direct communication, picked up a piano in one city and moved it into our house. Our apartment is a second floor in a tight city neighborhood and these guys made it look easy with a crane and great crew. Very reasonable price and professional demeanor on all the crew. We had Mt Auburn Piano Movers bring in a new concert grand--these guys are MAGIC! We called on Sunday to schedule delivery of the grand. They picked it up from the dealer and brought it to the house the next day. They showed up on time (even a bit early!) hoisted the piano into our 2nd floor apartment and removed the old piano. They even helped carry out furniture that no longer fit the space. They were pleasant, professional, and there was not so much as a scratch on the door frame. I highly recommend them--I'm really picky--and I thought they were incredible. read more

The day after we booked for a fixed date and price Joe called us back, demanding that we either change our move date or pay him an extra hundred dollars. Excuse: his other move that day had canceled so he needed more money to make it worth his time. He was completely unapologetic and very belligerent about this, insisting repeatedly that his calling us at all was a "courtesy." As he had insisted on cash and not sent any confirmation, we have no paper trail. But it seems we were lucky. Reviews elsewhere on the web mention the same tactics, on the day of the move, while holding the customers piano for ransom on his truck. Check him out before you hire. read more

Ok, all I can say is that these guys were efficient, friendly, careful and respectful of my property (both piano and inside and outside my home). My baby grand piano was moved from a 3 story building in Manchester down an old elevator to my home in the suburbs. If you EVER need a piano moved, these are the guys to call. We'd purchased a baby grand from family friends, about an hour away. The former owners had used Mount Auburn before and recommended them. Much to our surprise, they were able to book us within three days of our call! Price was quite reasonable. The team from Mount Auburn was fantastic - swift but very careful, clear experts in their space. Shout out to Jake, who agreed to move our old upright to the other side of the room while he was there, and offered suggestions on positioning before we settled on a spot. My piano move was easy to schedule, and they fit me in with just a couple days notice. The movers were great, professional and fast. I think the piano was out in less than 10 minutes (which included waiting for the elevator) and unloading (first floor of house with a couple stairs) was probably not even 5 minutes. They showed up promptly, were polite and competent, carefully loaded and transported the piano to MA and carefully unloaded and placed the piano, even being careful of the new floor. The walkway had not been shoveled and they even took out a shovel and cleared both steps and walkway! Very cordial and the whole process took less than two hours! GreAt job! read more

These guys are the only people in MA I trust with my piano! They charged me less to move the piano two towns over than another company charged me to move it four blocks. They show up promptly, are courteous and efficient. I found them because the piano restorer recommended them to me. He uses them for all the moves to and from his shop. The reason I had to send my piano to be restored was, among other things, a different company who billed themselves as piano movers spent four hours, took off two doors (one of which was damaged in the process), and put a gouge 1/2" deep into the cabinetry of the piano. Mt Auburn piano movers took 10 min to move it out and less than that to move it back in after it was restored. We are moving away from MA and I insisted they be the ones to move it from the house to the moving truck. If I could have them move my piano in CA, I would. These guys are the best! read more
