Jordan, of Superglass Windshield Repair was an absolute joy to work with! I picked up a ding in my…read morewindshield outside of Birmingham last Saturday and needed it fixed. I reported the claim to Geico, and expected to be able to schedule through their "preferred" (not required) vendor (Safelight) via Geico's app as I've done in the past. This didn't happen. I called Geico and they scheduled me with Safelight on July 1, a full 10 days after the ding happened. This is too long to have to wait with the temps fluctuating with the rain showers we have had, and other issues, I really didn't want to have to replace the entire windshield. I called Glass Doctors in Huntsville, who were very nice and said they could do it for around $80.00 in several days at my house, or sooner if I drove it into Huntsville. I called Jordan and he said he could be here today, and he was! His fee is $95.00 for windshield repairs, he does not replace windshields at this time. $95.00 is for a credit/debit card payment. He gives a discount for cash payments which is $90.00 (meaning cash money, not checks), and I think he said his military discount is also $90.00. When I re-called Geico to tell them I did not want to wait 10 days for their windshield company, they did explain they only pay $60.00 towards windshield repairs. I reminded them I was a loyal Geico customer for over 15 years, which didn't phase them. Anyway, I felt confident that me eating the extra $30.00 was a good decision since I didn't want to have to pay $500+ for a cracked windshield which was likely to happen. Next step is to provide Geico with the receipt and wait for a $60.00 payment from Geico. Jordan was very friendly, knowledgeable, explained this is a franchise based out of Orlando and that he does a "stronger" (my words not his) repair than Safelight. He communicated continually via text keeping me apprised of where I fit in his schedule and was polite, friendly, quick, and nice, despite the bad heatwave we are in. He explained he uses 30+ pounds of pressure vice Safelight's 6 pounds of pressure. Don't quote me on the pressure pounds; however, Superglass's pressure is way higher than Safelight's per Jordan. Looking at the receipt he gave me, it states, "Money Back Guarantee. Repair is guaranteed against further breakage from the point of repair for as long as you own your vehicle." For reliable windshield repair service at the convenience of your home I highly recommend you call Jordan at 256-651-5411. Thanks very much, Jordan!
