They said it looked like the problem was actually mossy gutters so they cleaned the gutters. And charged £300. The issue got worse. I had to threaten them to get them back. They came back and said it was now a blocked downpipe. So how come they didn't see that in the first place. And that I should replace the gutters and they couldn't do that for £300. Meanwhile I had another roofer look and he said the whole problem was the gutters and he could have cleaned them for £60 but better, replaced them for £170. 1st Call are Rip off merchants.

Very disappointed with R Richards & Son Ltd. I used them to replace my roof's felt. Their service…read moreis quite expensive but Robert promised me 30 years warranty for their work. After the work has been done, my gutter start leaking in many parts. Obviously they damaged it. I repaired the gutter by myself. Then one year later, the concrete around roof valley start fallen off. I called the company first time, Robert said they must use wrong ratio when mixing mortar. It's in their warranty and he will contact me after several weeks. I waited for a month before I called them again. But all their numbers were no answer. I kept calling and left voice message almost a hundred times in the following month. I also sent many emails to them. NO ONE REPLY. Surprisingly when I use another mobile number to call them, my call was immediately picked up. The lady named Dee told me it was her first day to the office and she will pass my message to Robert. She also promised me she will answer their phone from now on. I hoped she is not lying to me. Unfortunately I was wrong. No one contact me afterward and both of my mobile numbers are BLOCKED by them. 30 years warranty? What a joke! This is my experience with R Richards & Son Ltd. A very expensive lesson learnt. I truly suggest everyone avoid this company. Don't waste your money and risk your houses by causing more damages.
