For example, she put fake eyelashes on me and then said "wow, these lashes do NOTHING for you." Ummm, who wants to hear that from the person who is doing their makeup? Then she kept making little comments to me like "well, that was more blush than you needed". Ok, if something doesn't look right, I am trusting you as the makeup artist to fix it. You are supposed to be the expert. I brought pictures of exactly how I wanted my makeup done and at the end of the trial, she said "wow, this looks nothing like the pictures". Whattt?!? Again, who says that to a potential client?! She told me that I didn't have the "bone structure" of the women in the pictures so that is why my makeup looks nothing like theirs. I was just shocked speechless. After all this, she STILL demanded that I pay the $75 for the trial. I just felt sick to my stomach after that experience. Needless to say I did NOT book her for my wedding.

I use Denise's Gentle Cleansing Gel in combination with her Azulen Day Cream. It's the perfect combination! I had moved away from NC to CA and tried other products with no success. So, I order them online. Denise did my make-up for me before a couple of special events I was attending. I always received glowing compliments (lots from younger men too!). I had great fun doing a boudoir photo shoot with Denise (Mike McGlynn was the photographer - also amazing). It was brought to my attention that the moment the challenges in the Charlotte office became known, immediate actions were taken to rectify the situation. This included the swift removal of the previous office manager mentioned in one of the previous posts. It's certainly no desire of mine for anyone to be removed, however, business is business. From my experience, this studio does everything that it can possibly do to cater to the needs of its clients. I am very proud of the work this studio produces and the way it makes me feel. Just to share how amazing this studio is, I was doing a Periscope video about a month ago. I made a trip to Atlanta a few weekends ago, and someone mentioned to me how much they loved my makeup and wanted to have MY NORTH CAROLINIAN makeup artist do their makeup. She's in Atlanta... The last time I checked, Atlanta does NOT have a shortage in makeup artists. The quality provided by the MakeUp Addict Studio touched someone states away who would want to work with my makeup artist. She made me feel extremely comfortable during the trial and at-ease on the day-of. Theresa worked with me to accommodate my being out-of-state when it came to scheduling a trial as well. I also loved that she talked me through skincare in the months leading up to the wedding. Each of my bridesmaids also had their skin treated (moisturize, exfoliate, hot towel, etc.) on the morning of the wedding -- which made the early morning wake up just a bit better!
