It was so reassuring to make a plan with her and to have real time follow up so that we could course correct and adjust as needed. When we encountered some challenges with the 2 to 1 nap transition, Ellie was the only person we wanted help from and once again she was exactly the resource we needed. We also felt SO supported by Ellie as a birth and postpartum doula for our second child. Using zoom, email, text, and phone, Ellie was like an expert big sister in the weeks leading up to the birth, as well as in the beginnings of labor, and most especially in the early postpartum period. The birth escalated so quickly that there wasn't time for zoom support, but honestly the postpartum support alone was invaluable (and thank goodness for Ellie's nudge via phone for us to hightail it to the hospital-- our son was almost born in the car). Her expertise in sleep and lactation along with being a thoughtful and experienced mom of three... I truly can't speak highly enough. We will forever be grateful to Ellie for helping us grow into happier, stronger parents, and she will forever be our go-to for all questions parenting / birth / sleep!

Next, without boring you with details, I needed truly time sensitive assistance after hours on a Friday. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up my prescriptions, I saw that my physician made an accidental error and sent it to the wrong pharmacy. This was an issue because I am leaving town tomorrow for an extended trip. So, since it was after hours, I called their on-call provider to ask them to resend the prescription. The person helping me was well-meaning but not very educated, and took for--ev--er just to take my info and then send my message for the provider to call me back. I was told that the on call provider would call me back 'within 30 mins. Nothing. 45 mins later, I call again and ask them to mark it 'urgent'. The pharmacy is closing. I truly need my medication before I leave town. Nothing. Another full hour later, I call again, and I'm told my message would be sent to the supervisor who would get back to me immediately. Another full hour later, after it was too late for my time sensitive issue - I got a voicemail. But it was too late. The pharmacy was closed. I now don't have my meds. This is not what I expect from medical care. But I guess maybe I should, sadly. In the extremely rare times that I need after hours help, I would be nice to feel like someone is there. Not these guys.

I usually don't care for the way most doctors treat patients but Allara and Yoon are exceptional, they actually treat patients as patients not numbers. My wife and I have had horrible experiences with medical professionals but never have we had one complaint with Allara and Yoon. These guys understand that all patients are not the same. They understand that what is normal for one patient is not necessarily normal for another. They actually put some thought into your problems instead of just running down a check list. At one time I thought proper medical treatment was no existent North of Boston but after 25+ years of dealing with MFM Health I know that good health care can be found.

But it was a bit disappointing that our ultrasound prints had a few errors. If I had realized that what we saw on the TV screen was going to be what was printed on our images, I would have spoken up. My last name was misspelled, and the tech had selected "third" trimester when I'm very much in my first. These errors were printed on our images, and while otherwise it was a good experience, I feel I can't really share the pictures from my very first ultrasound. I went to see Dr. Petropoulos for a certain type of procedure she offers on her website. When I…read moremade the appt, I told the receptionist what procedure I was interested in. When I got to the office, I was in the waiting room waiting for my appt and several of the girls were whispering about a client that was there in an exam room. I could clearly here what they were saying and I thought it was very unprofessional and not kind, honestly. Once I was able to talk to someone, I was told that they no longer do the procedure that I was interested in and that they haven't done it in a very long time. Not cool. Anywho, I listened to their pitch about all the other products they sell and procedures they do and then it's time to meet the doctor. The doctor told me that my face could be offensive to people because I have a natural frown. She even went so far as to tell me that I could probably have better relationships with people if I let her fix my frown. Needless to say, I will not be going back nor will I be recommending this office to anyone. That office really needs to work on their delivery.
