It was so reassuring to make a plan with her and to have real time follow up so that we could course correct and adjust as needed. When we encountered some challenges with the 2 to 1 nap transition, Ellie was the only person we wanted help from and once again she was exactly the resource we needed. We also felt SO supported by Ellie as a birth and postpartum doula for our second child. Using zoom, email, text, and phone, Ellie was like an expert big sister in the weeks leading up to the birth, as well as in the beginnings of labor, and most especially in the early postpartum period. The birth escalated so quickly that there wasn't time for zoom support, but honestly the postpartum support alone was invaluable (and thank goodness for Ellie's nudge via phone for us to hightail it to the hospital-- our son was almost born in the car). Her expertise in sleep and lactation along with being a thoughtful and experienced mom of three... I truly can't speak highly enough. I usually don't care for the way most doctors treat patients but Allara and Yoon are exceptional, they actually treat patients as patients not numbers. My wife and I have had horrible experiences with medical professionals but never have we had one complaint with Allara and Yoon. These guys understand that all patients are not the same. They understand that what is normal for one patient is not necessarily normal for another. They actually put some thought into your problems instead of just running down a check list. At one time I thought proper medical treatment was no existent North of Boston but after 25+ years of dealing with MFM Health I know that good health care can be found.

While the physician herself was kind and pleasant, I was extremely disappointed with the overall level of professionalism in the office. During our visit, I could hear medical assistants speaking loudly outside the exam room, asking things like, "Who's room is Ava in?" and "What room is she in again?" It did not inspire confidence, especially as a parent bringing in an infant. I ended up calling out, "Ava is in here," just to clarify. At the appointment, my daughter was supposed to receive two vaccines. About a week or two later, I received a call from the office informing me that one of the vaccines had not actually been administered. Instead, she was given saline. I was told they later found the vaccine at the bottom of an empty box. As a parent, this is extremely concerning. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in a medical setting, especially when it involves infants. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling uneasy about the quality control and communication within the practice. We will be going elsewhere.

But it was a bit disappointing that our ultrasound prints had a few errors. If I had realized that what we saw on the TV screen was going to be what was printed on our images, I would have spoken up. My last name was misspelled, and the tech had selected "third" trimester when I'm very much in my first. These errors were printed on our images, and while otherwise it was a good experience, I feel I can't really share the pictures from my very first ultrasound. I went to see Dr. Petropoulos for a certain type of procedure she offers on her website. When I…read moremade the appt, I told the receptionist what procedure I was interested in. When I got to the office, I was in the waiting room waiting for my appt and several of the girls were whispering about a client that was there in an exam room. I could clearly here what they were saying and I thought it was very unprofessional and not kind, honestly. Once I was able to talk to someone, I was told that they no longer do the procedure that I was interested in and that they haven't done it in a very long time. Not cool. Anywho, I listened to their pitch about all the other products they sell and procedures they do and then it's time to meet the doctor. The doctor told me that my face could be offensive to people because I have a natural frown. She even went so far as to tell me that I could probably have better relationships with people if I let her fix my frown. Needless to say, I will not be going back nor will I be recommending this office to anyone. That office really needs to work on their delivery.
