They are the absolute BEST. Been with them for years. Our entire family is extremely lucky to have them.

My cat was experiencing trouble breathing, vomiting, lethargy, etc. initially, I was instructed to drive 1 hour and 10 minutes to Canal Winchester Medvet instead of an appt in 45 minutes at PetPlex because medvet "would be faster" and the breathing issue needed immediate attention. After a lot of back and forth with the receptionist and me explaining an appt in 45 minutes (30 min drive) would be faster than a 1 hour and 10 minutes drive, she agreed to schedule an appt. I had to pay a $180 retainer for the appt. My cat was in a carrier and I brought her into the room. The tech took some quick notes and without looking into the carrier, she said "your cat seems fine and we're vacuuming right now so we'll take her back when we're done." So apparently the vacuuming takes precedent over my cats health (that she didn't bother to even glance at). My cat has complex diagnoses for which she gets routine/bloodwork through another vet. They insisted on copying bloodwork she just had completed, which I reluctantly agreed. The estimate was $1K. After trying to do some of the tests, they removed a lot of tests pretty quickly because she was agitated. They ended up only doing one panel of bloodwork and giving one medication and 2 supplements. They attempted to sell me flea/tick/heartworm medication for a 15 year old strictly indoor cat who clearly doesn't have fleas. While I understand these are important, it doesn't feel like a priority when there are respiratory concerns. Overall, it felt dismissive and lacking compassion. I wouldn't take my pet back here.

I cannot say enough good about this place. Between the hospitable boarding, to the vet services,…read moreand the absolute genuine care for the well being of our pets, they can do no wrong. I want to give a shout out especially to Dr. Maimone, who is the primary caregiver for our beloved Lab "Dixie" aka "Dixiecup". A little history, Dixie is an American Black Lab who turned 9 this past summer. She is a 9 year old puppy! She's got a spice for life and having fun like no other dog I've ever owned, and she is absolutely the sweetest dog you could ever meet. In October 2022 she got dealt a raw hand, and she was diagnosed with grade two, Subcutaneous MAST Cell Tumor Disease (which is an aggressive form of doggie cancer). Dr. Maimone was the one who performed the surgery to remove some tumors that showed up and had them tested. Dixie had an incision that was about 20 inches long due to multiple tumors being found and removed. Our options were limited, we could do chemo or radiation at the tune of $35-45,000. With no guarantee of success. So we made the decision to keep Dixie as comfortable as possible with palliative care, and once it started to affect her quality of life then we would have to make that dreaded choice to let her go. Dixie was given a prognosis of 3-6 months life span with this disease. We were absolutely heartbroken. Dr. Maimone explained that the MAST Cell is a histamine releasing cell, and that Dixies body was over reacting to said histamine, which was causing the tumors to form. She recommended that we try a benedryl and steroid regimin to try and counteract the histamines being released. We agreed to this treatment to try and give Dixie the comfort she deserved, and to be able to enjoy the time she had left with us. At three months we went in for a checkup and Dr. Maimone said she was pleased with Dixies condition. 6 months came, and Dr. Maimone said she was no longer seeing any progression of the cancer. Then at 9 months, Dr. Maimone said "I think her cancer is in remission". At 1 year, Dr Maimone did another checkup with complete blood work etc, and told that Dixie now had a clean bill of health, and that there werr no signs of her cancer whatsoever! Today, at 15 months, Dixie was out back chasing squirrels and playing with her ball like nothing was ever wrong with her. I cannot thank Dr. Maimone enough for her care and love of animals, especially Dixie. By her hunch on the treatment plan, she has truly given Dixie a miracle. And we are truly thankful and humbled by her genuine care. Thank you again Dr. Maimone! Because of you, Dixie bear the odds and KICKED CANCERS ASS! We are forever in your debt.

Dr. Hurst is amazing in the care she provides and follow-up services. When my geriatric pup had to be euthanized due to spleen failure, she was so empathetic and sympathetic. She provided a book I could borrow to share a beautiful story with my younger son that helped him with the tragic loss. More recently, I had rescued a dog from the county shelter that tested positive for intestinal worms. Dr. Hurst was fantastic as she provided the necessary care and continued follow-up until the dog was "free and clear". She even called after each testing herself (unfortunately the first round didn't clear him up) to discuss directly with me. She also made suggestions on items like probiotics and other helpful things I often keep large-xlarge dogs and knowing Dr. Hurst has equine experience, also gives additional help with the bigger pups and the varying care they need vs the smaller dogs. I had a cat years ago and received equally wonderful care. The staff is also super nice and always helpful. I often suggest this vet to those in my area looking for a vet for their pets. Great practice. The sister practice is also wonderful and it's really nice knowing you have a vet on call always between the two for emergencies.

I have been bringing my dogs to this veterinary office for nearly seven years, and I truly cannot…read moresay enough positive things about the veterinarians themselves. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and have always treated my dogs with incredible care. I live about 30 minutes away, and for years the commute has been absolutely worth it because of the empathy and quality of care they provide. Unfortunately, the front office staff has increasingly become a major issue and has negatively affected my overall experience. There have been multiple occasions where I've called requesting callbacks or appointments and either never received a response or there was significant miscommunication about messages that were supposed to be relayed to the veterinarians. Today was the final straw. I had a 4:00 PM appointment for my 150-lb St. Bernard who has severe anxiety at the vet. Anyone with a large, anxious dog knows the amount of preparation that goes into a visit. I even had to take vacation time from work so I could leave early to make the appointment, and I medicated her with 300 mg of trazodone ahead of time so she could tolerate the visit. When I arrived at 4:00, I was informed at 4:30 that there were still four people ahead of me. At that point, there was no realistic way my dog could wait to be seen, and by the time they eventually got to us the medication would have worn off. We had no choice but to leave. What's most frustrating is that the office already knew they were running significantly behind before our appointment time. A simple phone call or text to give clients a heads-up would have saved me from taking PTO, driving an hour round-trip, and unnecessarily medicating my dog. It genuinely saddens me to write this because the veterinarians are wonderful, but the ongoing issues with the front desk and communication have made it impossible for me to continue bringing my dogs here.

Dr. DeHann was always available to fit us into her busy schedule. In a world where even Vets want to up charge for last minute appointments, she never did that.
