I waited for 30 minutes before being greeted by my stylist, and then another 15 minutes before being taken to the wash bowl. After the wash, I was told to wait again--this time for another 30 minutes--before finally being brought over for my color treatment. Once the color was applied, I was moved to a different area to let it sit, but it ended up sitting in my hair for over an hour while my stylist, Jerica Lafayette, worked on another client. This was concerning, as permanent hair dye typically shouldn't be left in for more than 30-45 minutes. After her other client was finished, I waited an additional 10 minutes before being brought back to the wash bowl. From there, I was placed in a chair for my blowout. During the blow-drying process, the stylist began at my roots instead of the ends and tugged roughly through my hair, which was tangled and dry at the tips. The blowout felt rushed, and I ultimately left with frizzy, curly ends that didn't reflect the quality I expected. This was really disappointing, especially since I was so excited to support a Black-owned salon. I still left a tip out of courtesy, but spending nearly 5 hours there for such an underwhelming experience was incredibly disheartening.

I discussed my terms with her and was very clear about the details of my agreement to move my location to her second building. Especially that I would not have her compete for any reason with my business. After scraping the windows of years of tape from the hurricane scares, scrubbing the floors and all sorts of cleanup efforts, ordered the furniture, set up the business, got the inspection, and was ready to start recouping my time and money and sweat equity investment in her location, she asked if I would take the third building, being the nice person I and thinking that she would help me realize my dream of increasing my business, as I was helping her increase hers I agreed. What a financial disaster for me , that turned into a 2 month waiting for tenants to leave, then painting the three rooms for her, I was to get only 2 rooms, doing all I could to help her realize her dreams of fixing up all the building at her location and!!!!! she shows her gratitude by changing the deal complete, wanting me to have one room only ( after painting and fixing up her third building) and making the income agreement we first made, which we both were to do well, to only her doing well and totally taking over my business. I could not be around someone with that lack of integrity. Guess what after my helping her what does she do she hires someone to do permanent makeup - I hope that poor person made a iron tight contract with Alicia because her business could be in great jeopardy If you want to do business with her here is a heads up BEWARE!!!
