I was seated at the perfect table on the patio and after receiving bread and butter, was greeted almost immediately by my server Gerado. He suggested a wonderful white wine and walked me through a few items on the menu. I was unfamiliar with the Carpaccio Di Polpo but he was right - I loved it. The Petto Alla Parmigian was one of the best I've ever had, seriously, and the portion was way more than I could eat. There was also a lovely blonde server who assisted me with learning how to say "esta muy bien". I don't even know if I spelled that right, but thanks to her, now I can say it! Would love to give the staff 10 stars if I could. I loved my entire night at Tavola and will go back the next time I'm in the area.

I'll definitely be ordering from them again to try their other pizzas. Something to note, Blazin Sunn isn't your typical pizza restaurant. It's a MEHKO kitchen which essentially means it's a home kitchen. Don't let that turn you away! It's great pizza! It does take a bit to prep but it's worth the wait!

This cut of meat is called Picanha, and it comes from the top part of a cow's rump. You may recognize it from your grocery store, as it's also sometimes referred to as the sirloin cap. ― thedailymeal.com What a great Brazillian BBQ spot. With over 20-years of experience, they do things well...done. Keep in mind, Mexico is a place that likes their meat well-done, which makes an American tourist, like me, sad. I'm not dinging them on that as it's part of the culture. They do have salsa and sauces for you to dip the meat. The meat selection is great, the staff is so nice and accommodating (one even speaking some English after hearing some of us speaking English), and there's some really great cuts of meat. My biggest complaint isn't the cook on the meat but the smoky dining room. My throat and eyes were absolutely burning afterward.

I'd give them a zero or negative if I could, but unfortunately that's not possible. Reasons for the one star: After we've finished our dinner, a young man came to take payment. I gave him my card and he continued to charge the card. After the screen went to the "tip" section, the kid took off, and returned demanding payment. I suppose he mistook me for being an American for an easy con. Fortunately the missus father is a banker from Mexicali and he questioned him. He said that he canceled the transaction and they he needed to take it again. He was then demanded to show the cancellation receipt that would have Ben printed out, but the kid said that no receipt was printed. He called his manager and we sorted things out. I'll still have to follow up with my bank to verify that no extra charges were placed on my card. Definitely a shame because the food was quite good.
