Not sure how she has any clients & stays in business! Booked a massage with this lady about a month ago...within 24 hours we changed the day from a Monday to a Friday with no issues let me reiterate a MONTH ago. At that time she was very put off but obliged anyway. Come on lady it was many weeks in advance. She made sure we knew we couldn't change it again which was fine and understandable. Then the morning of our massages a few hours before she had the nerve to ask to reschedule our back to back massages for two of us for a later time. I am sure to fit someone else in. She was pretty rude about it and basically made us feel we had to change our times so we told her we could call back in a few mins to see if we could rearrange our schedule. We were so put off about her tone and unprofessionalism but figured we would go ahead since we didn't feel like we had a choice. We called her back explained we could change our times & it was inconvenient but would do it anyway. She again called after we agreed to try to change it back but we explained we would keep our new time bc we had already rearranged our schedule. Then we go about our day for a few hours away from our phone. Meanwhile she was texting saying she was going to cancel our 2 massages! Then proceeds to leave a voice mail saying we had been unprofessional about not responding promptly to her cancellation texts so she wanted to make sure we got the message and went on a rant via voice mail how she no longer felt comfortable giving massages based on the vibe of the phone conversations and how she was bending over backwards for us after we had changed our times for massages multiple times (ummm wrong) never once mentioning we did once a month ago and it was her that needed us to change our times the day of! She went on and on for several minutes on how she was so busy an overwhelmed and our conversations didn't help and she no longer wanted to keep our appointments! What a NUT JOB! We got this message on our way out about an hour before our time!! Basically this woman might give a good massage but based on her insane antics and unprofessionalism I would never ever trust someone like her or recommend anyone going to her for a massage since she's a one woman business. She obviously never took customer service 101! It's the things like this that make you go hummm...now how do people like this own a business?! read more

Over 2 years later and I'm still loving my massages from Cybele. Her location is in Pleasantville, which is convenient because there are so many great stores there. It's the best 60 or 90 minutes ever. I usually fall asleep I'm so relaxed. I look forward to my monthly indulgence. She's a great lady with a big heart and great hands. read more

I never post a review, so this means something. She does not honor groupons at all, very unprofessional. She cancelled the same day as my appointment. After reading all these comments, I'm sure the story she gave me was complete BS. Luckily groupon has excellent customer service (unlike some people) and I was able to receive a full refund. I read all the complaints and Im actually shocked because I did not experience any of that. Working in the HR field I find that people are quick to complain and not understand what others may be going through. Its all about them, all the time. I am very selective and have high standards and I found Cybele to be funny, warm, caring, attentive, flexible and knowledgeable. I have had hundreds of massages and she was one of the best. She really knows the body and focuses on the areas in need. Its not just a massage, its a special type of massage. I first met Cybele because I purchased a Groupon. I know that establishments do not make money from Groupons. First of all, everyone should know this by now. It is a way to market your business and get clients in the door. After that, businesses need to sell themselves once they get you in the door. You have to think outside the box. Before she started with my massage, Cybele mentioned a 3 pack massage that would help continue my therapy. I immediately said thanks but no thanks. I ended up eating those words because as soon as my massage ended, I told her that I changed my mind and would really like to purchase the 3 pack at a discounted rate. She is very good at her job, so please ignore the negative comments and give her a try. Remember, you don't know what someone is going through at any given time. I would NOT recommend this business unless you want to have a TERRIBLE headache while dealing with the owner (Cybele). My experience was HORRIBLE and I had two gift certificates bought through Amazon Local for two 60-minute signature massages. I booked the appointment a month in advance on a Saturday morning (first appointment) during the summer of 2015. The owner confirmed the appointment twice during the month. On the day of the appt, Cybele sent a message at 1AM (yeah, you read well...AM) saying that she might need to cancel the appt because she is not feeling well. At 10:30am, I called to check whether the appt was canceled or not. At 10:50am, Cybele sent a message that she just woke up and consequently she needed to cancel (pls note that she has a 24-hr cancellation policy which apparently does not apply to her!!!). I asked to be rescheduled on a weekend and she denied stating that she was booked all summer long during weekends and our gift certificates were expired (the promotional value was expired but not the paid value which expires in 5 years; I was willing to pay the difference for the service) - she has problems understanding how these certificates work or she is just playing dumb so that you give up and leave her cashing in w/out performing any service!!! A week later, she failed to reschedule my appt. I contacted Amazon Local - which has the best customer service and they reimbursed the original buyer of the gift certificate for failure to book the services. BTW, we tried to book our services within the validity of the gift certificate too but (the same story) the owner refused to accommodate us during the weekend (saying that she is busy during weekends and booked well in advance). Also, as the other reviewers mentioned, she is very rude on the phone and very unaccommodating. One more thing, I managed to book and use one of the gift certificates I had because I was willing to go during the week. She told me she was very busy but in all fairness when she opened her agenda in front of me to book the time for the 2nd gift certificate (which was intended for my husband) it was empty for the summer time. Anyway, my review of the massage experience: AVERAGE at best. There is one room where she accommodates you and also performs the massage. The room setup is quite cheesy, it is located near the Valhalla train tracks - so you will have the pleasure of hearing the sound of trains coming in and out of Valhalla; the room has a weird stale smell, the linens on the massage table and the ones used on you are no match to the ones used in a professional massage salon. Cybele was absolutely AMAZING! I have a very busy and stressful job flying from coast to coast every week. I really needed a massage and with the current weather conditions and my timely work schedule, Cybele drove through a snow storm in 30 minutes to save me from my aching back, which had been stuck at the airport all day prior to an intense flight. I couldn't believe that she would offer me the pleasure of coming to me, through all that. And the massage was outstanding, she got right to the spots I really needed to unwind and relax my back. Do not go here for a massage. I was given a 1 hour massage as a gift for Christmas. I called today to make an appointment. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and asked a ton of questions. I asked her if I could make an appointment for Friday and with a nasty tone she told me she was booked for 2 weeks and asked if I already called which I had not. The expiration on the Groupon was yesterday and asked if she can still honor it because it was only one day and she said no I had 3 months to redeem. I hadn't redeemed sooner because I had surgery and couldn't but she was really nasty with me. I would rather take the loss and go somewhere that I can actually relax and get a nice massage worth my money. She is rude and I would never recommend this place. Please read my review (and my story) for the truth!! I had bought this (as I did many others) groupon, just for the sake of having it. 2 weeks ago I fell and majorly got injured-- painful to walk, sit, stand, even lay down. I have seen several chiropractors, massage therapists and even tried accupuncture these past few days, only to conclude that I was going to need surgery in order to heal me. With My last groupon and last bit of hope I booked my massage- which she scheduled for the next afternoon (today). I arrived to a very off putting, almost desolate building. I was desperate and went inside anyway We discussed my issue and she explained to me what she believed to be causing the problem and extreme pain (without touching or examining) and then she went to work. For the first time in 2 weeks, I was able to get up and dress myself with out any help- but still concerned that it was another "quick fix" and I'd feel worse in an hour. Well it's been 12 hours since I left, and I feel no pain or discomfort and am moving around just fine. Thank you Jesus for sending me to her!!! She truly does have "a kind of magic" gift!! Cybele immediately noticed how tight my back was because it's where I carry my stress. I asked her to just focus on my problem areas, and she was flexible enough to accommodate my request. I totally agree with post below- it's a miracle she stays in business! First of all, the building she is in is not particularly nice, and she has no waiting room so if you arrive early you have to wait in the hallway. It is near the train station, so it might be convenient for some, but it also means you hear the trains during your massage, as well as conversations of people on the street the whole time. Not very relaxing! I have had many massages in my time, some good and some great, but this massage was one of the worst. in addition, her demeanor is not very relaxing, and EXTREMELY unprofessional as mentioned below.
