I found one not too far away from me and decided to venture up there. I walked through the doors and some of the first merchandise I see has the Kroger logo. Go figure. Where it comes to this specific grocery store, variety is one of the items that cost it points Their selection was fair, but the deli department is notably small, and there is no visible butcher shop (though there are meats and seafood for sale). You can more or less find everything you would need among these notably very wide aisles, but perhaps some items would require one to go elsewhere. Among the items they had, the store appeared clean and well stocked. When it comes to their prices, while nothing is cheap anymore, especially in Chicagoland, I found their prices were a little lower than average, especially for the eggs. When it comes to the customer service, this could also be a little bit better. While there was no one at the customer service desk, it had a little sign that said that this register is closed. So... if you need to return something or if a price isn't right, what then? You're just out of luck or something? I'd also like to note that this is a place where you bag your own groceries. Not a problem, necessarily, just thought I'd put it out there. Thus, while I appreciate the lower prices, the slightly limited selection and the lack of customer service cost Food4Less a couple points. Still respectable though, and I can still see myself coming back on occasion.
