Contacted A.J.Downes reference a utility room on the end of the house .He came across as a genuine , trustworthy Person , he gave us a quote , which we felt was a bit over priced but we were happy to go along with it as we thought we would get a high standard of work. How wrong we were , He built up to roof height , none of the walls are straight which caused problems with fitting the door frame, so that was put in on a twist , so hence the door would shut, but it couldn't be locked , so we had another expense of having to buy another frame and door costing nearly three hundred pound. He put a pipe in for the toilet which wasn't straight so we had to make a lot of alterations to be able to fit it. I would never recommend him to anyone unless they want shoddy work and being ripped off for it in the process. Other builders who have seen his workmanship have laughed at his work , and wondered if he was a builder at all.
