If I could give zero stars , I would.
I have renovated several house so am used to dealing with suppliers, tradesmen and contractors. Yate Kitchens are the only company I have ever had a problem with that has made me want to write a review about. We spent a huge amount with them and paid in full up front. The 2 week fit ended up taking over 8 weeks. That's over 2 months without a kitchen, cooking on a campstove for my family of 4 and guests over the summer holidays.
Communication was non existent. The only phone call I had from them was to tell me off for getting upset with the fitters on week 5 when they just failed to turn up again to finish the job as they had promised. It still took 3 more weeks after that.
I asked Mr Pearson to come and look at some of the problems that we had but he was "too busy". Two further requests were made for him to come and see for himself what I was not happy about but he just claimed that they never get complaints, so it must just be me !
Once they knew that I was unhappy they seemed to go out of their way to make things worse. The daughter would answer the phone with a dismissive "Oh, it's you" attitude, rarely returned my calls, and did nothing to help whatsoever. Mr Pearson himself would not phone me back either. When I did eventually get him on the phone he told me that he wouldn't talk to me because he was with customers........ what am I ???
We do like our kitchen but the journey to get it was not one I would wish on anyone. I have had to spend money and time to sort out problems because they refuse to want to know, and it was all "bought on by myself"..... nothing to do with them !!!! They are a joke
BEWARE. If all goes well they are probably not too bad, but if things start to go wrong, they do not know how to deal with it, so they don't deal with it. read more
