Not only were my mother & I greeted by a scene that seemed to jump off the pages of a Agatha Christie novel but an absolutely lovely staff & delicious goodies for those attending the tour. There were a few yummy goods for sales such a violet jam (which I can't wait to try!) & local honey. But I must admit, there were free cookies as well- whomever made the lavender/lemon creme cookies...I could've eaten the entire tray myself; absolutely delicious!!! You can also purchase unique floral vases or flowers to create your own arrangements. Seeds to grow at home or even have the staff grow flowers for your wedding or other special event. There are a lot of things I admired about the creative and talented minds behind this business. For starters, you can gather a world of knowledge by just observing your surroundings- the staff is very knowledgeable about what they grow , ideas & experiments they are introducing to the environment to make a positive impact on their gardens & care tips for the many varieties or plants they provide. This is NOT your typical florist! The plants used in their arrangements they grow on sight so only seasonal flowers, fruits & veggies are used. They also have a compost pile, a small lake, a barn that can be rented for out & such wonderful gardens. The tour was inspiring, nice & quiet and had a great flow to it. Nate is a very charming individual, Liz has a delightful energy, and Corinne has a way of explaining things without making one feel ignorant...all three of these staff members offered wonderful hospitality, knowledge and pleasant experience. They also offer floral subscriptions & accept vase donations. My father has purchased flowers for my mother here on a number of occasions and the arrangements last a week and a half longer (sometimes 2 weeks) than any major chain bought arrangements. This is a positive way to help a local business grow and pass the beauty on.

Because of that, we needed to have her buried the very same day she was brought home from the hospital. Honestly, I'm still not sure how I held myself together enough to do any of this. My daughter and I walked into Weidig's that morning, overwhelmed with grief, crying, barely able to get the words out. We arrived mid-morning and needed multiple arrangements - flowers from the grandchildren, flowers for my mom from the siblings, and individual flowers to place on the casket - all for that same day. Not only did they manage to create and deliver everything within just a few hours, but the flowers were the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. What they did felt nothing short of a miracle. Beyond their incredible talent, they were so kind, compassionate, and heartfelt during one of the hardest moments of my life.
