In short: I would HIGHLY recommend Hammer Basement!…read more I spent time reaching out to quite a few companies for estimates and from the start Hammer Basement was by far the easiest to work with. I received a call and text back very quickly and was able to send pictures over text to get the conversation going even before an on site estimate. Scheduling an estimate was easy and quick, and scheduling the date for work was the same as well. When meeting Emilio for the first time, I was instantly comfortable with him and his friendly personality. He is very knowledgeable and I appreciated that he was not trying to have us do more work than was needed. (It felt like other companies were trying to upsell.) We did need quite a bit of work done but Emilio took the approach of let's do one step at a time and see how it goes (we were tossing around the idea of needing a French drain in addition to a sump pump and foundation crack repairs). Emilio and his crew found an additional crack in the basement while they were doing work that we would not have seen otherwise because it was hidden behind a wood beam in the basement. The whole team is detail oriented and takes pride in their work. We told them not to worry about cleaning up all the dust from coming in and out of the house, but they made sure to clean as much as they could and all the work they did looked great once they were done. If we ever need additional work done we will definitely be using Emilio and his crew again, as well as telling others of his work!

He was honest and did not try to sell us products that we do not need. He has many years of experience and is extremely knowledgeable in all things related to basement construction. We had a terrible experience with the Providence Fire Restoration taking advantage of us with the demolition. Flooring, cabinets and structural supports that weren't damaged but were removed costing us more to replace. We decided to take our chances with Vaz Construction. From when I first spoke with Ryan, I could tell he genuinely cared about our situation and helped us greatly through the process. Throughout the rebuild, Ryan kept us in the loop and was responsive to all our needs. The rebuild took longer than estimated but we are so pleased with the end result. The property was rebuilt from the studs and we were able to change the layouts, so each unit flowed efficiently. When we had a problem, Ryan was there to take care of it. You can tell there was so much effort and time put into the construction. Ryan was great to work with and we look forward to using Vaz again in the future. We have received so many compliments on how beautiful the building looks. If you need a reliable, trust-worthy team that will get the job done, give Ryan and Vaz Construction a try.

I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. The roofing crew worked from morning until night and they were great! They left no mess or debri in the yard. If you need any construction work done, call Vaz and ask for Elijah. You won't be sorry.

Josh & crew just left my residence & I have to say that I am absolutely blown away! Not only were…read morethey right on time, but the list I handed them would've taken any other crew(of 3pp) up to a week's time! So if you think the hourly rate may be a little high, cut that # in half because these guys work at least twice as fast. I needed repair work to an eave, soffit, & roofline, sheetrock repair on my ceiling -due to a leak, trash removal, tons of trim repair around windows & door, gutters cleaned out, as well as driveway leveling & fill. They completed all that in a day & a 1/2 PLUS powerwashed the entire house, and removed every single leaf & pineneedle from my yard(1 acre)!! If there is something that it out of their wheelhouse(& there isn't many), he will find/recommend someone to do the job. I couldn't be happier & plan on using him again in the future. Josh just did a terrific job for me, quickly and efficiently, and at a reasonable cost. I have had…read morea list of carpentry and painting projects for a couple of years now, and found it impossible to get anyone to follow-through either on getting back to me or giving me an estimate of the work. I saw a sign for Schley Painting in a neighbor's yard and called Josh who responded immediately, and he was doing the work a couple days later. Since I was not in town at the time, he sent me daily updates and texts, until the work was completed, which just took a couple of days. Plus he charged a very reasonable price. The the most important thing is he got the job done quickly and efficiently, and it was of very high quality. And he is a very congenial nice young man to work with. Highly recommended!

I found John Clark of @designREMODEL in a web search in 2019 prior to undertaking a major kitchen…read moredesign and remodel. After meeting with a couple of designers and contractors, I knew John was the one I was going with. From the earliest stages of the project he was prompt, extremely organized and best of all, attentive to what I actually wanted. John and I worked to design my dream kitchen within our budget and he returned with a binder with renderings and detailing every step of the process (all before I actually signed my contract with him). This was important as the project was to be started and completed during our absence from the Cape during the winter months. I made several additions and changes along the way and even decided to have him renovate our 1/2 bath while he was working here, as well as build a hall entry area. John was in touch throughout the entire project, sending pictures frequently and communicating whenever there were choices or issues to discuss. My husband and I returned to the Cape in late May to the completed kitchen, 1/2 bath, and entryway and they were everything I'd planned and envisioned. John's work is beautiful and he pays attention to every detail. I'd very highly recommend John Clark for your renovation needs on the Cape! He was by far, the most capable and easiest contractor I've ever worked with on any project.
